I'm so sorry no advice for the pain unfortunately. My first was d&c, and with my last I just used ibuprofen and heat. Worked enough I guess. Here if you need me. I know what an awful time this must be for you. Xoxox

@LizSmith: I'm so sorry! I had a mc at 7wks about a year ago. I already had a 1yo so I didn't have much time to feel bad. I told myself, if this wasn't going to be a healthy baby, better this than to find out something devastating later on. And this would actually bring us one step closer to the baby we were meant to have. You'll get through this!

So sorry dear! You sound so strong and so lucky to have a sweet, supportive man in your life. Find comfort in all the things you enjoy together- have a decadent breakfast tomorrow, go to a movie, lay in bed and read a good book, just do whatever feels good.

I've never been in your shoes, so I'm sorry that I don't have any great advice. But, I wanted to say that I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Oh sweetie, I am so sorry. I've lost two this spring, and my heart breaks for you. My advice (which I am bad myself as following) is to be gentle with yourself. This is one of the hardest things I ever did, and I found that I had to learn to be very, very patient. Also, please don't hesitate to reach out. We are here for you. You are not alone!
Big, big hugs.

I'm sorry to hear.
My pain management tips might be things you're already doing, but, just in case...
I'd try 600mg of ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) every 6 hours. A lot of people take less ibuprofen (less strong), or take 800mg (which doesn't really last for the full 8 hours you're supposed to wait between doses).
You can also stagger doses of acetaminophen (Tylenol) with the ibuprofen so that you're taking one/the other every 3 hours.
If you're doing okay with getting to sleep, but you're having wake-ups or poor quality sleep that's because of the cramping, you might try swapping your last PM dose of ibuprofen out for 440mg of naproxen sodium (Aleve). It is a longer-acting pain med than ibuprofen is -- it should help for at least 10 hours.
Relatedly, wait at least 10 hours after taking it before taking more ibuprofen -- they're very similar meds and they're both processed by your kidneys. You can mix acetaminophen with naproxen if you need a top off.

I'm so sorry. I know this doesn't help, but I've been where you are. Hope you are ok.
