It's one of those super - feminine - kinda exotic, but not really names that are uber popular. Pretty name, but isn't on my radar.

@loveisstrange: I think it's pretty but I wouldn't pick it. I'm hyper sensitive to misspellings/mispronunciations since no one EVER spells my name correctly or pronounces it correctly.

It is pronounced May-lani. It is a common name in Hawaiian. I wonder how they picked it!

I've never heard of anyone named this, Hawaiian or otherwise. Interesting choice. I did find this on babycenter just through google:
Meilani means "Heavenly Beauty".....
Mei (origin: Chinese; meaning: Beautiful).....
Lani (origin: Hawaiian; meaning: Heaven; Heavenly -
It isn't bad and has a lot of nickname options. Not my style, though.
