@Ajsmommy: they're doing this in my town/neighborhood! I just heard about it this past weekend from a family we met at the park - their kids were hiding rocks and shared one with my son. We might try to paint some this weekend!

DD's grandma requested we do some and gave us a rock painting book. We had no idea except she volunteers as a host in State Parks and likes to leave them for campers. Here are our fishies:

Someone in my town does them. I see it on the local FB page. I've never made one or found one.

Lots of participation in our area. We've found a few & have gotten several from family members who paint them.
