No mouth kissing. Yuck!

Adults do a little too much with their own mouths and just need to stay away from the kiddos' mouths.

I do with LO now, but we'll stop around preschool age (or whenever she wants).

I remember us having to tell my almost-teenage brother that lip kisses were no longer cool, apparently he was just super comfortable with them and would probably still give my mom or sisters a peck even now after college. He practices a more European-style cheek kiss now. LOL.

I'm another one who thought it was weird before LO was born but now I love giving him kisses on his mouth. He smiles and opens his mouth wide whenever my husband or I start to kiss him.

I thought that's just how you kiss little ones and people start doing cheek kisses as they get older...

I do not with my parents, but I do with my son. He actually was the one that initiated it, so I went with it.

I do it with my own daughter (but wouldn't with nieces or other extended family) but if she ever expresses discomfort or awkwardness with it, I'll stop. I'm never going to push any kind of physical affection onto her if she isn't comfortable with it, nor will I allow anyone else to either.

Only now when she's a baby. I'll probably stop when she gets older. But I didn't grow up with mouth kisses.

I loved kissing Q on the mouth, but I imagine when we have more kids, we will kiss on the mouth when they are really young, and at some point transition to the cheek. That's what my parents did with us, but I can't remember at which point it switched.

My family does European style double or triple cheek kisses for greetings on my mom's side, but my dad doesn't have an affectionate bone in his body and when we see each other, we wave or shake hands. So sad.

I didn't grow up in a family that did this, but both DH and I kiss DS on the lips all the time. DS loves it! We'll probably quit in a few years - he's only one now.

I don't but DH does. I usually kiss LO on the check, he goes for the mouth though.

Yes! I loooove the smell of his stinky breath. I will be so sad when he stops giving open mouth kisses.

I will say my grandma still mouth kisses me, I'm used to it...DH avoids it at all costs His family is NOT affectionate at all. I feel bad, my family hugs, kisses, everytime we say hello and goodbye, his you might get a side hug with one arm
