I love my salad spinner. I love washing my greens and spinning them dry. BUT, I absolutely hate washing it. Pain in the butt! I'm trying to eat more greens, but the hassle of washing it makes me think twice about busting out the spinner.
Anything you have in the kitchen that you love to use, can't live without, but despise cleaning?

I'm always trying to decide if the food processor actually saves me time. Saves tons of time chopping, but it takes ten times as long to clean as just cleaning a knife and cutting board.

@sweetooth: it's really not bad- only the blade part can't go in the dishwasher, and aside from that you just have the cup part and a rubber seal. I just have a mental block about washing it!

Slowcooker and rice cooker. Anything that requires washing more than one part is annoying.

The Nutribullet. I always take out the seal to clean it thoroughly and than it's such a pain in the butt to get the seal back in.

@My Only Sunshine: I'm sometimes think about getting an actual food processor, not just this mini one, but then I think I'd hate cleaning it so I just stick with the mini

I love cooking in my crockpot, buy I HATE cleaning it. I need to buy some more slow cooker liners because those things are awesome.

Love my mesh collander and I use it to rinse or strain raw shrimp, sun dried tomatos, cooked ground meat and a bunch of other things. I like to use it because nothing falls through the tiny mesh openings, but cleaning it is a pain because food gets stuck easily.

@mediagirl: If the Ninja is anything like the Vitamix - can't you just put a drop of liquid soap in, some clean water, and buzz that thing clean? I do that for day to day cleaning and every few days I do a good hand wash.

Love my Vitamix, but I hate rinsing it in the sink. My sink isn't very deep and makes rinsing a little complicated. Also love my dutch oven, but it's sooo heavy and difficult to wash in my small sink.

It's a toss-up between the crock-pot, the rice cooker, and my manual food processor. The processor is only a pain because water gets trapped in the lid and it takes forever for it to dry out.

Cast iron skillet. It can't go in the dishwasher, I can't use soap to clean it, and it's SO HEAVY, but it cooks food so well.

I just realized I hate cleaning a lot of kitchen items. Cast iron skillets, colanders, the blender, and this Pampered Chef food chopper gadget that works amazingly well, but takes me like 30 minutes to clean.

Anything that needs to be hand-washed, lol. And I end up doing most of it because my H just wants to put everything in the dishwasher, but I insist that certain things be hand washed. So I end up saying, "Just leave it out and I'll do it." At least I never have to empty the dishwasher, because that's my H's job

Egg slicer (why is it rusty?!? ahhh), and I also hate our Ninja. It is awesome and we can put the parts in the dishwasher, but for some reason I went to clean it by hand and totally sliced my finger open. The blade went directly into my finger. That SUUUCKED

crock pot (even though we use the liners, I find that the pot still smells strongly of stew or whatever and needs to be scrubbed).

The grater. I hate having to wash all the little food particles out of each hole and crevice. But I use it a lot. Ugh. The alternative would be to use the food processor, but that's just big and bulky and annoying to wash.
The juicer is another pain the butt kitchen item. And my pressure cooker rice cooker. I have to dismantle a lot of parts to make sure it's clean.

Garlic press (and I've been using it a lot lately!). Crock Pot (it's up high and this shorty has issues with tall places). Rice Cooker (because it's broken but still works).
