We met up with a kitchen remodeling company on the weekend and the cost estimate kind of blew me away. Anyone care to share how much their kitchen remodel cost? It would be helpful to know if you reconfigured walls, refaced or replaced cabinets, etc.
Also, what kind of company did you go with? Full service, general contractor, etc.?

Ours was part of an entire garage/kitchen addition so hard to say what JUST the kitchen cost (total was $80k), but I believe it would've been around 15k. Our custom hickory cabinets were under 10k and we went with laminate countertops and wood laminate floors. No new appliances.
A general contractor did the walls and our cabinet guy did the cabinets + countertops, DH did the floors.
ETA: We did have all new electrical, lights, etc. so that probably pushes it up closer to 25k, but I think we were still in that range.
We live in Iowa. Also the general contractor was a former employer of DH's so that helped, and the cabinet guy was a neighbor (another deal).

We completely gutted our kitchen and spent about 30k with a general contractor. Kept all appliances the same, but everything else is new- all new cabinets, hardwood floors, counters/hardware, electrical, lighting, windows, etc. also included flooring/cabinet for a pantry area you can't see in photos.

I don't have pics because it's not done. We have a small galley kitchen and the estimate from the local custom kitchen place at 15k (probably would have gone up towards 18k with issues we found). But we did it ourselves and so far we are around 7k. No walls were moved/ removed but we did remove the bulkhead. Just drywall, cabinets, quarts counters, electrical and plumbing. We bought a new dishwasher but all other appliances stayed and floors stayed the same.

We want to knock out a wall and do a full gut. The bid they gave me was for $80k, not including flooring or appliances. Should I be using the mouth dropping to the floor emoji, or the crying one????

@sunny: that seems very high, depending on the type of cabinets/counter etc. Is the wall load bearing? We're taking out a non load bearing and taking out a window/door and replacing with garden doors. IKEA cabinets, tile flooring, new gas stove, quartz counters are estimated for less than half of what you've been quoted.
