Sunday is my birthday and I LOVE fireworks, so I've always really enjoyed the 4th of July. It's my 30th, and DH has been planning a surprise for me for a while AND we just found out I was pregnant a week or so ago. So he has been juggling two secrets. I imagine it will be special, but I'm not sure what's going to happen. It's a fun and exciting time!

I found out I was pregnant with T the morning of the 4th last year. It will always be a special day. Last year we watched fireworks in the whole valley from the top ridge of a winery with friends, and I drank sparkling water instead of champagne. Have fun!!

No super special but I def had an outing and went out/did stuff over the long weekend! Since fireworks aren't till later at night, I don't even think I can bring DD out to celebrate for a long time until she is okay with later bed times!

I definitely want to do something, but I'm excited for next year when ee have a kid so we can pass on traditions and make it special for him in the years to come.

Do every fun thing you can before the babies come!

I don't care much about fireworks, but we just happened to be invited to a housewarming/barbecue on the 4th this year. So while we are doing something when we usually don't, it's not because of the fetus.

I've always thought of the 4thas a family friendly holiday! We've always done BBQs and fireworks of some form since having DD. in fact, this year, DH and I will both be working out of town and I'm bummed! DD is hanging with my parents and they'll definitely take her to see fireworks (2.5)
