So I'm overdue and the induction is scheduled for Tuesday. Everyone keeps telling me that I should enjoy doing everything I can now without a baby in tow. I feel like I have but I want to see what would be on your list.

I would go out to a last hurrah dinner with my hubby! Somewhere fun that we definitely couldn't go with our baby. Also, manicure and pedicure : )
Good luck next wk!

Me too, that's what we did. I was almost induced, but the last weekend, we went out to eat and went to the annual Christmas market!

I would add going to the movies on that list. I've seen a lot of people on here say on another thread that they miss doing that a lot.

I would go to the movies and go out to dinner with my husband. I would also spend some time snuggling on the couch with him enjoying the peace and quiet and it just being the two of us.

Take long showers, run errands, get a manicure & pedicure and enjoy some alone time, eat out...congrats!

What everyone else said!! I don't know about the Mani, since nail polish chips and you'll be handling a newborn, but DEFINITELY get a pedi, go eat every meal out with your DH (it'll be a while before you get to eat out again), go to the movie theater, take a long shower or bath!

Definitely go out with your husband! Also, not a fun suggestion, but I cleaned my house before my induction, and I'm really glad I did.

@owlmom: My parents and in laws came over after the baby came to clean and bring food. If I had the choice I'd leave it for them to do and spend my last moments doing fun baby free things.

I had a scheduled induction for a Tuesday and ended up giving birth the Saturday beforehand. Maybe that will happen to you too. Good luck!

@artbee: how nice! We didn't have that luxury, so it was definitely something I'm glad I did

1. Sleep!
2. Really nice, long dinner with your husband, soon enough you'll be choosing places based on feeding schedules and escape routes and crowds if baby gets rowdy.
3. A movie, if you can stand to sit through it- I was so uncomfortable at the movies sitting in one place my last few weeks.
Have a great last weekend, but you'll be loving life once your girl comes too!

Definitely mani/pedi, probably get a massage (if in the budget), definitely out to a nice dinner with the hubby, perhaps out to a movie, or rent one, and definitely as much sleep as possible. Also, would try to clean the house as well as I could. If there was time, I might try to sneak in a good, "can't put it down" book as well. Good luck!!

If you feel up to it, and don't have someone volunteering to do it for you, maybe make a few casseroles and freeze them. At least you'll have a few easy dinners for the weeks after. Although the beauty treatments and dinner out should go in there too!

@BabyBoecksMom: I hope you had a great weekend, whatever you decided to do. Can't wait to hear about your baby!! Hope all is well!

Well, I took your advice and had a pedicure, did some yardwork and then went out to a nice dinner with my husband.... only, we didn't get to finish dinner because as we were waiting for our table, I started to have contractions at 5 minutes apart. And then my water broke right after we ordered our food. Needless to say, we didn't get to finish our dinner.
After 14 hours of labor and 10 minutes of pushing, Willa was born at 8:28am on 1/22. We are loving every minute of it!
