My son is 2 years old and he only says a handful of words! We're getting him speech therapy, which starts next week and we're so excited to have him start! His speech delay has been worrying me and I just HOPE that the therapy will help him develop his language skills.

I've heard a lot of stories where toddlers (especially boys) didn't talk until 2 1/2 and then would have a crazy word explosion. But I didn't want to take that chance and decided that speech therapy would be the way to go.

Anybody have a late talking toddler or know anyone who does? Would love to hear some positive success stories!
