I usually just buy whatever detergent is on sale but A has sensitive skin so I need to make a switch. What free and clear type detergent do you use?

All Free and Clear. So much cheaper than Tide Free and Clear! I buy it at Target.

I like All.
I've also cut way back on the amount of soap I use, which I feel helps.

All F&C or Planet Ultra. I use the latter for CDs too so it's usually what we buy for our clothes too.

I use Dreft for LO and All Free and Clear for us. I have a love-hate relationship w/ All - it's reasonably priced and I get in when it's on sale at Costco but i feel like it doesn't get the clothes as clean or white as I would like. I usually use a scoop of oxy clean powder along with it.

Lo has sensitive skin as well, we wash all of our clothes with Tide Free and Clear.

I like All F&C. I've never had a reaction from it (I have reactions to regular Tide) and I think it cleans very well, especially when used to pre-treat.

We are using tide free and clear for the whole fam, as dreft breaks out lo. We will be switching to all free and clear when we run out because it is cheaper and my sis that has sensitive skin likes it better since it doesn't break her out as much.

@T.H.O.U.: I have thought about it and maybe I could do that in a few months. I want a quick solution for right now since baby is coming soon and I have a billion other things on my to do list that I'm already too tired to do
thanks everyone, looks like it should be easy to find something at Target!

I make my own - SO MUCH CHEAPER and it works really well. In fact, I was out of one of the ingredients the other day so I bought some All F&C and I was *not* impressed... it did not work nearly as well as my homemade detergent.
This is what I use:
1 bar Dr. Bronner's soap (I usually use almond, but they have a baby/scent-free formula as well), grated on the finest grater setting
+
1 cup Arm & Hammer super washing soda
+
1 cup OxyClean Free
Use 2 T. per load - that recipe makes about 35 loads worth. I store it in a quart-sized mason jar and use an old coffee spoon as a scoop.
I also use plain white vinegar instead of fabric softener and wool dryer balls - all of these things have really helped cut down on the chemincals in our laundry and skin issues in our house,

Costco Free and Clear. I've had no problems with it.

I'm allergic to all dyes and perfumes. I generally buy whatever free and clear brand is on sale and I've never had an issue

I use ecos for lo. I make my own for everything else but I read that powdered detergents can leave a little residue and that it can irritate los' skin so I use the ecos for her.

We use the target brand free & clear but I am looking into making my own to save some money and be more natural

I use Tide Free & Clear for DH and I. DH has sensitive skin. Ever since we moved in together, I've been washing our clothes with it. For LO, I use the Up & Up version of Dreft. I may switch him to our detergent eventually, but baby detergent smells good and seems to get rid of the stains better.

@septca: I'm going to try this out! How much vinegar do you use for a large load? I don't use any fabric softener at all right now, but it would be nice to have something to help out.

Have been using All Free & Clear since J was born. Works well and is great for his sensitive skin.

@Happygal: I have an LG front-loader that has a slot for fabric softener - I just fill that to the "max" line with white vinegar. It's maybe 1/4 cup? It *really* works (and is sooooo cheap).

We use All F&C or Arm & Hammer dye/perfume free, and I think the latter works better.. I've never tried Tide because both my brother and grandmother were allergic to it.

@Bao: I have had really good luck with the Costco brand Free and Clear which is pretty reasonably priced as well as the Sunlight which is more expensive but I love. I just tried ALL but I have been super itchy

We used to use the Costco free and clear. While doing cloth diapers, we use Country Save for everything. Both DH and DS have sensitive skin and they are equally good in that respect, but I think the country save is a little 'cleaner' probably.
