Omg I hate reading Dr. Seuss books.
The rhyming gives me a headache.
Dd brought Hop on Pop over for me to read and I could barely get through 7 pages. Time to hide all Dr Seuss books!

I don't like books that have too much reading - DD gets bored and reading time is ruined!

Cecily G and the 9 Monkeys. It's like, the original curious george story, and it is long and tedious.

Of LO's books it's "Please, Baby, Please," a book by Spike Lee and his wife because every page ends with "please baby baby please" or "baby baby please baby" and my mouth and throat usually hurt after I read it.

I hate reading Thomas the Train books. Omg I want to throw them out the window, especially the novels (long long version of the stories). LO loves them, and as a good mother I have to let him borrow them from the library. But seriously if I have to read Hero of the Railway one more time I might go crazy.

@Cole: It's on my refuse to read to LO list. DH likes that book and reads it often. I just won't any more.

@cascademom: @Cole: Doggies is one of my favorite books to read as long as it is not right before nap or bed since I get audience participation. My dogs have heard it enough that they chime in at the right spots (one starts barking by 4 dogs, they are both silent on 6 quiet dogs, and the second one starts howling on 9 dogs on a moonlit night).
I would say right now, Dr. Seuss books I stumble over the most so they are my least favorite.

@chopsuey: I'm not a fan of Seuss either. I also don't like "Guess How Much I Love You" - I want to burn that book!

@chopsuey: We didn't have any Dr. Seuss books growing up because my mom can't stand him!

I read Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel to my friend's little boy the other day and it made me really sad! I felt bad that they made Mike and Mary Anne dig themselves a basement and stay there forever. I guess it's nice that they found a new purpose in life, or whatever, but I still found it depressing!

@chopsuey: Hop on Pop immediately came to mind. I start getting woozy from all the rhyming after a while.
@Mrs. High Heels: I agree with "guess how much I love you." Can't stand it.

Hop on Pop IS the absolute worst. And we don't have "Doggies" yet... now I'm really curious about it!

I really don't like "Guess How Much I Love You." I find it wordy (big/ little nut brown hare) and the big rabbit is always trying to one up the little guy!
