@crunchy1: That is fantastic news! I had off-and-on spotting for the first month of my pregnancy (starting from when my period would be expected). Sometimes it was dark, sometimes pink, sometimes redder. Often times it was accompanied by cramping. I was either calling or at my OB's office multiple times a week. I was a new patient, too, but they were wonderful about accommodating me. If I called in the morning, frantic because I saw blood again, they would bring me in the afternoon and do either a blood draw or quick ultrasound to put my mind at ease. They never could explain the bleeding, but it went away after the first month and I had a healthy baby girl.
I really, really hope you stop spotting, but if it happens again, I would call your new OB's office and request/demand/beg them for an early appointment. I've heard low progesterone can cause bleeding, so it might be worth getting your progesterone levels checked. With all the spotting, your OB should be keeping a good watchful eye on your pregnancy. I would keep notifying them whenever something happens and try to get seen as soon as possible.
Wishing you the best

@crunchy1: that is such wonderful news! Sending lots of positive vibes your way. I think I may have mentioned on this thread already, but I bled numerous times and had a healthy Baby girl in August. Best wishes!

I am so overwhelmed by all the positivity and support you ladies have given me. Thank you for taking the time to try and help me relax about this.
Since I've seen quite a few things that say US is the best way to determine viability at this point, I'm trying to focus on the awesome results we got. No spotting at this point (haven't for over 24 hours), so that is good.
My family doctor is checking in with me on Monday, and I will be scheduling an appointment with them then. I have decided to continue my OB care through their office since I have heard wonderful things from not only friends/family but from the US tech as well. And, their office was so responsive and willing to work with me through all of this uncertainty. I will be sure to ask about progesterone and see what their thoughts are.
Your kind words have been so helpful! I will definitely keep you all updated.

@crunchy1: YAY! I was so hoping that your update would be positive. I can understand why you would be cautious (I would be, too - and my husband was also be the optimistic one!), but I'm terribly excited for you!

Just wanted to post an update. I kept my first appointment (at 10w exactly) with my OB and I really liked the office. It was just for family history and I told them about my bleeding, labs, and US. They weren't concerned with the slight drop in hcg but since I was worried I got a quick ultrasound and saw my little one moving and the heart beating! They printed off a picture and I can make out the fingers and toes! I am feeling so much more excited about this pregnancy now! My next visit is in less than 2 weeks and I'll get another ultrasound then.
