I just noticed some spotting when going to the bathroom. It is just light pink but haven't noticed this before. I'm 35 weeks. My little hospital book says go in if its bright red blood but its not.
Did anyone else have this? Am I gonna be the second August mama to deliver? Should I just go to sleep and see what's going on tomorrow? I can feel babes moving around and have no pains.

My doctor said any spotting call them. Can't hurt to give your doctor a ring, even just to put your mind at ease.

I would also call--rather go to sleep feeling calm than worrying all night!

Ok I called hospital 
thanks all. My OB was on call so they paged her. She said I can stay home and just monitor it. I should go in if it gets any heavier or I have pains. She didn't say what can be causing spotting, but didn't seem too concerned.

I would have called too... Just for peace of mind And now at least your doctor is aware of the situation. Hope little one keeps on cooking!

@Grace: @googly-eyes: @Running Elley: thanks. I think I just needed the push to call. I feel fine and no further spotting so hopefully it was just a one time thing. I know baby will be fine if it decides to come now, but a few more weeks would be much better!

Have you been losing your mucous plug? I had a bit of spotting at the end of my mucous plug. After that I didn't have any more spotting until they did a membrane sweep a week later.

@Ellie: no I haven't noticed anything mucousy so I don't think I have lost my plug yet. What week was your spotting in?

@delight: Mine was during week 37 (but at the end, so could be considered early week 38). Because it was accompanied with the loss of my plug, my OB said it was normal.
