I'm team green, but I still find it fun to look up old wives tales about gender prediction. One that I'm curious about is the whole idea that girl sperm are more resilient than boy sperm... so if you DTD a day or two prior to ovulation, you will have a girl. Thought I would create a poll and see what's up in the HB world...

The cycle we conceived, we were away for a week beforehand, staying with family, and I thought we'd missed the window for that month. Then when I found out I was pregnant, I was convinced we were having a boy as I was so confident we only DTD in the days after ovulation. So I was pretty surprised when I found out we are expecting a girl!

I oed a couple days after we had DTD and we have a boy so it wasn't true for us

I don't know what day we conceived. We were DTD every other day leading up to ovulation and had a girl.

We DTD every other day or every two days leading up to and past ovulation. We're having a boy.

So there doesn't seem to be any correlation

@ChitownRo: My dad says that it's a real thing and that breeders use the technique on cows to produce males or females. I think it's harder to tell on people because it's so hard to tell when you've ovulated.

The very first time we pulled the goalie was right after ovulation (I'd actually thought I O'd the night before, but it must have been the next morning as we DTD late that afternoon) and we got pregnant with our little girl. So much for the boy swimmers being the faster ones!

With P we were DTD at will & well she's a girl. This time we're really trying to time it to DTD when I O in hopes for a boy.... I'll have to come back & letcha know how it turned out.

The month we got pregnant we only managed to have sex one time, two days before ovulation and we had a boy.

The cycle I got pregnant was messed up! lol We kinda gave up at the end.... I got my third positive OPK for that cycle, so we did it and that was that... we ended up DTD the day I ovulated... and well DH must have some fast boy swimmers, cause we are having a boy

It was true for us. We conceived Tor the day I ovulated.

@ChitownRo: I was reading taking charge of your fertility and I found out it IS true that girl sperm are heartier but boys are faster. But I still think "gender selection" is left to chance!

We DTD 2 days before O and got a girl.

I'm currently pregnant from O-4 BD timing so According to this theory, we should be having a girl. Since we're Team Green, we'll find out the outcome in February.

IDK what do you guys think? We are having twins & were following NFP at the time. We still temped for our records but the temp dip & CM don't really match up on this chart so I don't know what to think...maybe one of each? Only 10.5weeks now so we wont know for a while but it will be interesting to compare.

I had a boy when we DTD on ovulation day (OPK test) and a girl when I think we DTD a few days before ovulation (no OPKs but based on when I tested and got a positive) so it holds true for me

We DTD about two or three days before and we had a girl. Very interesting!

We DTD on O-2 and the day of O and we're having a boy. Interesting!

We DTD O-3, O-2, O, and O+1 the cycle I got KU, and LO is a girl.
