It is DD 2nd birthday soon and I want to do something but am not sure what. We have a small house so am worried about having people around. I threw her a massive birthday party last year so this year I want to keep it simple. Nothing sounds right, especially when I have to work around nap time.
What did you do for your LO's 2nd birthday?

We also have a small house. And I threw my DD a huge party for her first, too. For her second, we had people over and put a huge tent on the patio in our backyard. It was a drizzly day, but people sat outisde under the tent anyway and the other half of the people hung out inside. We did a taco bar (party was at 5 or so), had cake, and opened gifts. Pretty simple!

I think we're going to do LO's 2nd birthday party at The Little Gym. They provide everything and it seems so easy and low-stress. We went to a 2nd bday party there about a month ago and LO had a blast. Our house is big enough to have one here, but I feel like the kids would get bored. I don't know what activities I could have for 2-year-olds.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: That sounds so lovely! Our yard is even smaller than our house but it is enough room for a few toddlers. Haha
@lawbee11: That sounds like such a stress free idea. We have more adults than kids and a tiny budget this year so I don't think it would work for us.

We might take a few of Ms friends to a bounce house this year. Feb birthdays are so hard!

LO is turning 2 next month and I'm just having a casual play date at the park in the morning with some of her friends. I'll bring some treats and cupcakes, they will play, we will sing and call it a day!
We are doing a separate family only lunch at our house. Again, nothing fancy, just a chance for the grandparents to help celebrate.

We threw DD 1 a big first birthday bash. For her second we took her to the zoo on her birthday. Then invited my ILs and BIL over for dinner and cake. It was simple but great to spend the day just as a family. Then have immediate family over later to celebrate.
We made the day special by still decorating the house, I baked her a Daniel tiger cake, we cooked her favorite meal, etc.
She's in daycare PT so I made cupcakes and put cute circus toppers on top.

Booked a play room space for two hours. I didn't have to set up or clean up. It was great!

We had a party at My Gym for LO 1. We will have a party at our house for LO 2.

We are just doing a family party again this year. It is still 40 people. I won't do as much decorating as I did for her 1st but it will be about the same type party. Having it at 5 and serving an early dinner.
I don't want to do a friend party cause she still doesn't get it this year, so I would rather save the money and just have one party. I will have to throw the family party every year, regardless.

We just had a family party with our parents/siblings/ and then 2 of her best friends at the house. Our house isn't very big either, so we kept it small. It worked out great.

We just had a few of her friends over and had a ton of balloons. DD2 was only 10 days old so we kept it as low key as possible.

We did a family brunch around 10am with a waffle bar - there were only 9 of us plus her 
It was simple and nice and we all had fun!

We usually just do family parties with a few close friends. I do have a big family but it's not too crazy. I like to cook so I make the whole meal. I don't really care about decorations so I bought a few balloons and called it a day.

We also had a huge 1st birthday party. So for his 2nd we kept it small! We spent his actual birthday just the three of us eating out, taking him to TRU, and cake at home!
We had the grandparents over for dinner on the wknd to do another mini celebration with them
