Today has officially been one of the longest days of pregnancy so far. I type this post out via my phone, on an aerobed, from out empty condo.

Started out early this morning for our all-day one-day cram class for Childbirth Prep. Came home to the smell of smoke coming from our house. DH had boiled some soup in the morning while I was showering and left the stove on for the 8+ hours we were gone!!! Thankfully 1) it had been on simmer 1, 2) we have an electric stove, and 3) there was no oil, so nothing caught on fire. But EVERY.SINGLE.THING in every room of our house reeks of smoke! We tried airing the place out for 7 hours now. At first we tried hanging out in the backyard, but all the smoke was blowing out of the house and I was soooo tired after our class, I finally broke down and went to our room for a nap. Probably a terrible idea for a pregnant woman! I slept fully aware and concious of the awful smoke permeating thru everything from my hair to the pillows and blankets. Finally, my head and nostrils hurt so much, but I'd gotten a much needed nap, and we went out to eat. Ran into my BFF and she could smells us from yards away!
On top of that, our poor, blind Chihuahua had been in the house all day. :(. We feel so bad for her but she seems to be doing ok.

Finally even now DH felt so bad, we had to leave th house to keep airing it out and didn't want me to inhale anymore smoke. I guess it's one good thing our condo hasn't been renting and is still vacant. So we ar camped out here and doing loads of laundry so we can have some pillows and blankets to sleep with. Coming onto an 18 hr day at 37 weeks. Gah! I told DH I'm so thankful we didn't have a newborn with this same situation. Can you imagine?

I can only imagine how many DAYS I'll be doing laundry for...

*end rant*
