What's the longest your LO has gone in between poopy diapers? Right now, it's been over 38 hours since she's had a poopy. She gets mostly breastmilk and doesn't seem uncomfortable, so I'm not worried yet.

I think we were close to 44 hours yesterday. My LO is typically a once a day guy.

A day I think? He poops a lot. But my pedi said EBF babies can go up to 10 days!! As long as LO isn't uncomfortable and it doesn't affect their eating, then it's fine.

We went from a Tuesday night to this past Monday, so almost a week. She had been on antibiotics though, so not sure of that had something to do with it.

48 hours. My niece recently went almost a week without pooping, and I heard some not so pleasant stories about the explosion that happened.

Over 2 weeks. Our GI said that can be normal for a breastfed baby as long as there is no pain when they go and the stool is not hard. DS eventually started having a lot of pain during bowel movements and was put on Miralax. It made things less painful but he still only went every 4 days or so. We just stopped the Miralax recently and so far so good.

I told her daycare lady that it's been since Wednesday night and that there may be some unpleasant diapers today. Hopefully it isn't tomorrow when FIL is watching LO for the first time!

11 days. I was worried too but the pedi insisted that breastfed babies can go longer than formula fed babies without pooping.

@MaisyMay: It may not be bad. The poop after the 13 day hiatus was like a normal poop.

Wagon Jr.: probably 3 days? I was beside myself because he usually went between every feeding, 4-5 times a day.
LMW: probably 8 or 9 days. She pooped about twice a week until recently when we started solids! Now she poops once or twice a day.

4 days. She's EBF so no real surprise that she goes that long. And man is it a blow out when she goes!!

He's usually a once a day guy, but I think the longest was 3 days? Maybe 4?

It was 2 days but he hasn't gone since Tuesday. He keeps tooting but nothing. I'm glad this is normal for an EBF baby.

8 days - breastmilk is a perfect food and easily absorbed so there isn't much "extra" to take out. I have heard of up to 21 days so I wouldn't be worried. My Mom always freaks me out and wants me to "fix" the problem but I have learned to be patient (i.e. not listen to her) and watch out because when it comes - Stand Back!

2 days? Can't remember the last time I had to change a poopy diaper, seems she only poops at daycare now!

After DH picked her up from daycare and had her at home for a few hours, I guess she did 2 big ones in a row, and when I got home, she did a third. I guess she got it out of her system!

over a week when they were EBF. As in, that was the average. It was nice...

Hm, at 8 weeks old, she's pooping several times a day still and she's EBF! What are these once a week poops and where do we sign up for that?
