@Cherrybee: @swedishfish: @fussygal: @stine_ciro: add my DH to the club! His change is everywhere (as are his shoes, his shirts, his receipts...). I think I'll start collecting it for myself, buy something fancy when I collect enough, and tell him how I bought it. That will probably convince him to put it in our change jars for maaaaybe one day

We have a giant pickle jar we save coins in. We ended up with over $1000 for our honeymoon. Now we're saving for spending cash for our 10 year anniversary trip. All coins!

I keep what little change I have in my ashtray in my car! I really never, ever use cash.

It stays in the center console in my car or gets put in a bucket on DHs dresser and we roll the change when it gets full.

We have like 8 piggy banks between the 3 of us, so we've been putting them away for the last 3.5 years. Wonder what our total is by now!

Thanks everyone! It got really fun after a couple of years. We didn't put any pennies in the bottle and had a separate container for pennies. We did this while trying to pay down our credit cards so we used cash for eating out and would throw change in every few days. It's a lot harder to do now since I mainly shop at Target with the red card.

@kimberlybee that is awesome and my DH would be envious.
Both myself and DH have jars to collect spare change. My DH is more into now since he has a jar that counts as you put money in. Every day after he comes home from work he says, honey I have now X amount of dollars!!! and shakes the jar. Super cute.

We put it in Lo's piggy bank. Everytime it gets full we take it to coinstar . The funds goes into lo's bank account. Each trip will get around $300 to $400.

We collect it in a container and take it to coinstar. You can get gift cards to a few places for no fee (at least you could when we did it). We usually do it around Christmas and buy some presents from Amazon.

We save it in a big jar. The last time we cashed it in for a $230 Amazon gift card which we promptly used to buy our Uppababy G-Luxe:)

@Honeydew: Awww that is too cute! My DH would love a counting jar. My DH would remind me to empty my coins into the jar every other day. It was so exciting to watch it get full. We ended up putting it towards an Apple iMac. We are working in our 2nd stash and I want LO to learn how to save too.
