Fwiw, my DH never gets one. I always do. My besT friend never does.

I never get one... but I got one when I was pregnant. I know a lot of people who didn't get them while pregnant and they were fine though.

ETA: Neither my infant or I got one this year. We were asked and I declined.

I got the shot...but I can't think of any pregnant friends who have gotten the flu, even those who didn't get the shot. Be careful, though! Wash those hands. I keep getting colds and handwashing isn't helping...make sure your DH washes his hands, too.

I don't think I have ever had the flu shot. I didn't get one when I was pregnant even though my doctor told me too. I lied and said I did. Oops! Just didn't want her to judge me for my decision. I didn't get sick at all during my pregnancy.

I never get one. Actually the last time I did was years ago and that year I got the flu 3 times! I've been in better health ever since I stopped getting it!

I've never gotten it and don't really plan on it either, pregnant or not.

@allison: Yeah it was rough. I had never heard of that, but that's good to know.

Like @Mrs. Pen I'm not on board with the flu shot either and have never had it. I had my baby during flu season and while I caught 2 colds I didn't catch the flu.
It was recommended by my OB but I chose to ignore his advice.

I didn't get it when pregnant. I hate shots. I did get the nasal when offered cause I could. My hubs and son always get them because my hubs has cf and the flu could kill him. But I don't expect anyone else to.

I usually do not get the flu shot. I didn't have to when I was pregnant because of the season. This year because I work for the hospital on the maternity ward, it was a requirement. Guess what? I was sick for the last 5 days with flu like symptoms anyways.

Most are a class B drug & others are a class C.... that was enough for me to not get it!

I never get the shot but did get it this year. I actually declined it before I got pregnant, but since my baby was born (prematurely), I got it (premature) and am asking all of my family to get it too (per NICU advice). The flu is especially dangerous for the little ones - premature or not.

I didn't get it - my midwife did recommend it, but said that if I choose not to get it, to make sure that I stay away from sick people (duh!) and wash my hands like crazy. I also bought a homeopathic remedy that I take once a week as a preventative.

I don't agree with the flu shot but I have to get it for my job... I think it's another way for drug companies to make money!
