I always make mine the night before and I don't notice a difference! I usually make egg salad or PBJ.

I used to make mine the night before and I thought they were fine but DH refuses to make his the night before because he insists they get too soggy. He has pb and honey.

I do it the morning of!

I assemble at work. I pack the bread separate from the interior (meats, cheeses, lettuce) separate from the condiments (mustard, mayonnaise, etc.). It just doesn't have a good texture if I assemble it beforehand.

I normally pack mine the morning of to prevent bringing too many things to work. However, it does get a lil soggy by the time I eat it during lunch.

DH and I make a bunch on Sunday night. If you're doing deli meat or something, put your condiment in between the meat and the cheese so it doesn't make the bread soggy. When I do pb&j, I just make it the night before. Tuna and egg salad I mix in a small container and bring separately with the bread.

They taste fine the night before. I just put turkey+cheese on them, then get a little mayo from the cafeteria. If i have lettuce, it goes in a baggie. Things like chicken salad go into a totally separate container. If I'm going to take sandwiches all week, I'll just bring the deli bag with cheese and turkey in it and make mine at my desk.

I like american cheese, boar's head ovengold turkey, and boar's head salami

I make PBJ sandwiches in the morning. If they're made the night before I can totally tell they're soggy.

How I wish someone could send this thread to my parents, 20 years ago. They made my sandwiches the night before and I ended up with such soggy sandwiches that I threw out my lunch every day of elementary school!
