@Sams Mom: Amen! That is one of the reasons I took a "fertility hiatus" from the university... Trying to fit in all the RE appts, my other doc appointments, G's speech appts, while training clients, being a parent, and BD-ing like freaks was too difficult to balance while teaching.
On the other end of the spectrum, since not being at the U, my days pass soooo slowly and (unless there is an appointment or important reason) all my days/dates run together.

@Chuckles: Totally get where you're coming from here. Trying after multiple losses is so hard. I've had 3 consecutive losses and am only in the tww my first cycle back and said to DH the other day that I just wanted whatever was going to happen to hurry up and happen so that we could "know it isn't going to work for us." Meanwhile every twinge I feel is ~evidence~ of another ectopic pregnancy. I have no advice on staying positive, but it's why I love this place because when I'm feeling negative someone else is here (usually @Kaohinani if I'm being honest) to be positive for me.

@Chuckles: oh my goodness! Am crossing all my fingers and toes for you. Tbh it’s so dark that I feel it doesn’t seem like a chemical! Is this your first beta or second?
Update us

@fuzzypeaches: Thanks! I'm so nervous. It will be my first one. Because it was a medicated cycle with trigger, they wanted me to come in at 14dpo. I'm hoping I'll go back on Thursday for the second one.

Oh my gosh, you guys. I joined this Secondary Infertility Support Facebook group thinking it could be a good resource. And everyone is extremely nice and many of them have questions, issues, and ideas that are similar to here. But there are also a number of women who are asking questions like, when am I in my fertile window? How do opk's work? Etc. And I'm like, I don't think you can count yourself as having secondary infertility if you don't know when to have sex.

@Chuckles: so much for your beta and all the
while you get through this first part. I think that your lines looks awesome for 13dpo and I wouldn’t worry about progression because I bet you just got a dark test a little earlier than usual due to test variation and now a more “normal” test has caught up. As others have said tests are definitely not quantitative; that said on my tests for pregnancies that progressed to a hb my frer lines were roughly equally dark by 15dpo (obviously it varies by person and pregnancy - but just to say yours look right on target).
Sending you SO much hope that this will go smoothly

@Chuckles: While I am soooooooo very exctied that you have found further support than just here on HB, I am both happy and perplexed in, while you have found an amazing base for support on elsewhere, why would ladies ask such questions? Those questions seem a bit rudimentary and I can understand your frustration in those who innocently pose the questions. I would be face palming myself on the regular (and I deal with obscure questions daily as a mother, educator, and trainer). If one doesn't know when to BD, or her "fertile window," I do agree that it is hard to classify one with "2ndary infertility," since she may be [simply] completely missing opportune days to DTD rather than being "infertile."
Sam's Mom and I have struggled with the idea of setting up an "Infertility Board" since there are so many of us with either primary or secondary infertility (who post on the POAS board month-after-month) BUT, at the same time, we do NOT wish to exclude any TTC-ers who wish to post with us. Since you have posted this, I believe I may begin an infertility board (similar to the POAS board) for all of the ladies who have been deemed "infertile," since HB is such an amazing community with so many knowledgeable and professional women.
What do you think?
@Sams Mom: Are you still up for moderating said page with me?
apricot / 422 posts
Well, they say you have to play to win the lotto...and we did not “play” this month. Working 95 hours my fertile week and my DH own job stresses (I feel like a bad partner, I know he’s had a bad week but I literally was just trying to sleep and keep people from dying during my call) we had zero BD during the fertile window.
At first I was upset and angry but now that it has closed I am relieved. I am not yet ready to see a positive HPT and then start worrying and wondering if it will “stick” this time.
So that’s my update. I absolutely LOVE this board and seeing pee sticks though

My chin began to itch during supper and, lo and behold - my notorious "chin acne" is in full blown effect. It is atleast 5 days earlier than in most cycles -- progesterone hates me! 🥺 And the worst part is I am nauseous yet SO FLIPPING HUNGRY! 🤦♀️ #D*mnHornones. #NeedMyBFP #PiliIsBeingMyBestieAgainIThinkTheP4IsMessingWithHer
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Kaohinani: i think you should do it! 5 or so years ago there used to be an IF (or maybe IF/loss) board that had a weekly round table where everyone would update what was (or wasn’t) going on and then post whenever as well. I think the updates kept people involved even though people doing different treatments might have had vastly different things going on (active poas, waiting for clearance to start a cycle, different meds, etc).
ETA with a smaller hb group overall may be harder to keep up, but I always found solidarity just having a group that knew ttc struggles, whatever the kind.

@bhbee: THANK YOU Soooooooo MUCH. I agree, wholeheartedly, and I appreciate your support. I tried to do something similar with an all-inclusive "interventions" board ( http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/interventions-ttc-board-those-using-fertility-medications-ti-ici-iui-ivf-fet-etc#post-2873781 ) but it fell by the wayside as there was positive, albeit, limited interest. I am, seriously, considering an infertility board. Thank you, again.
clementine / 950 posts
@Kaohinani: the other option is to switch to a fb group I feel disloyal saying, but my previous month groups both went to fb and it is SO much easier to reply and see what’s happening!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@fuzzypeaches: That is one idea. I no longer have FB (I was targeted on there by someone I was close with and it became something that incited a huge issue [politics, which I do not discuss] that drew in others and their political debates ... so DH & I do not have an active FB account). I feel "safe" here on HB but, I could open a ghost acct on FB if more people would participate. 🤷♀️
persimmon / 1419 posts
@Kaohinani: @fuzzypeaches: @bhbee: I like the idea of an IF/TTC after loss board (and keeping it on HB as I also don’t have FB). Idk if you IF ladies feel like you want your own space though. If you combine the two there may be enough interest to support long term.
@MsHangry: Oof, sounds like you’ve had a really tough week. Glad you made it through!
@Kaohinani: So many hormones!! Sorry you’re still feeling crappy. Hang in there! At least you’ve got doggo snuggles to get you through
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@karenbme: Thank you! The puppy snuggles are great! I would prefer to keep an IF/Loss/TTC Support page to HB if I can help it, but, if more appeal is elsewhere, I may consider setting up 2 separate pages OR, I could see if @SamsMom would head up the FB page while I moderate the one on HB. It all depends on the need for it.
nectarine / 2648 posts
I feel like the POAS board is the most active on HB and those of us with IF (me, @kaohinani, @samsmom) the most active contributors. If we defect to FB, I fear we might be the nail in the coffin for HB.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@yellowbeach: Wow, I had not considered that! Thank you. We also have Paranundrum, Lazb, and Jessiemuller88 as hard-hitting contributors to the monthly POAS board (who may or may not wish to engage on a IF/Loss/TTC board if presented). I agree it should start here on HB (and follow on FB if the need arises as such.).
clementine / 950 posts
@Kaohinani: @yellowbeach: @karenbme: just a thought! I think hb is fine too. I didn’t even think of that @yellowbeach:
@MsHangry: sorry about this month. I know that he’s happened to me I and I was not nearly as accommodating about it. That’s what mostly of mine and DH stress is around ttc as it’s auch an act of coordination and it sucks.
@Kaohinani: I’m starting progesterone today so I’m joining you in the hormonal train! I was a beast last cycle with the progesterone 🤣 and I was on vacation! This week am working a million hours and am going to be a nightmare of irritability I can feel it brewing lol
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@fuzzypeaches: I was great on the Follistim. I did fairly well with the rHCG/Ovidrel trigger, too! BUT the Crinone is kicking my arse!
I hope you do better with it this cycle than the last. 🤞 Will you be taking the pill, injection, or pessissary (suppository cream or gel)? I have heard vaginal distribution cuts down on the side effects 🤷♀️ ... however, with naturally high P4 levels, any form of extraneous prog, is bad mojo for me! 🥺🤣

Sorry for being MIA
Cleaning and painting all day. I'm down for whatever board
nectarine / 2813 posts
@Kaohinani: I would be interested in a (private) FB group! Especially if it's specifically for infertility/loss. I am not as active on HB as I used to be since I have a hard time handling "fertile" people, haha

Another pregnancy announcement on Facebook! That's 2 today and 4 since Friday.
Babies, babies everywhere.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
Just checking in.
10 dpt, 7 or 8 dpo: BBT dropped by .02°F. Non-symptoms include: bloat, slight nausea, hunger, constipation, and sore breasts (with burning sensation towards the sides).
I have an appt today (not fertility or TTC related) and have to bring G to speech therapy, so my interaction may be sparse until this evening. If there are any BFPs, please wall me to check in or email me (if you have my email) as my email alerts are connected to my Fitbit. I will update asap.
@mrskansas: I, believe, sometime in the week, I will begin the HB page and, in the sequential weeks, either Sam's Mom or I will begin a FB page aligned with the HB page ... since I do not have FB at the moment, I would have to set up an account simply for this purpose and then work on the IF/Recurrent Loss/TTC FB page as an administrator. (* Before I "quit," FB, I had my own business page, was an administrator for the FRG page for my husband's co, and worked with others on multiple unit and battalion pages.) If I do wander out on this venture, I would like to co-administrate and moderate the page with SM, in case either one of us can not solely maintain it.
@Sams Mom: While I do not get the FB messages, it does appear many ladies in my area are announcing pregnancies, including a mom at T's school, the neighbor's daughter, and the granddaughter of one of my older clients! I am always so happy for them (* especially those of whom have struggled) but feel a bit sad at the same time because I wonder, "When will it be my turn?!?!"
persimmon / 1419 posts
@Sams Mom: @Kaohinani: I have such a hard time being happy for others with pregnancy announcements (and especially newborns) these days... I feel awful about it, but I'm just angry. Maybe I'll get there eventually, but right now it's just an anger/shame spiral every time I see one.
On a side note, a lot of my work is in higher ed, and the industry is scrambling right now because no one was having babies between like 2008 and ~2015 (hmm, wonder why). I want to just tell people hold on because if my friends are any indicator once we get to like 2035, it'll be a great time to be a college. Of course that's based on nothing other than an intuitive sense that our age cohort delayed but didn't stop wanting kids and all of the baby stuff in my social feeds.

Hey ladies! Thank y’all so much for your kind words and support. I know that this pregnancy isn’t going to last, but I’m still in limbo. I have no bleeding and still a nagging pinch on my right side. I have been terrified of it being another ectopic. I went in yesterday for repeat betas, so I am anxiously waiting on those. I pray they went down. I’ve been reading along and cheering for all of you, I just haven’t been in the spirits to write.
@chuckles: I hope this is your sticky bean! Your BFP looks nice and dark!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Kaohinani: Can you believe this lack of progression in the trigger leaving my system? At this rate, I worry I'll get a false positive at my beta!
So the question now is...
1) trend it out (testing daily for the long haul until beta on 3/21
2) Wait until beta, don't POAS at home (likely requires way more willpower than I have)
3) Risk a false positive and test on 3/18-19 as planned.
What say you March POAS ladies?
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@bees_knees: without meds I always ovulated really late too, so annoying
@Chuckles: I know that fear well, but I’m hoping this is it!
Sorry I can’t reply to everyone, going back and forth between pages is taking too much time this morning, and I have to bring ds for speech therapy.
I’m good with staying on here for ttc/infertility/etc. I don’t mind doing a Facebook group, but this way new people can always find us
persimmon / 1419 posts
@Jessiemuller88: So sorry you’re losing another. Fingers crossed that your pain is just a cyst, but know that whatever the outcome you’ll get through it.
@yellowbeach: That’s a tough one... A false positive would be too much for me, so I would probably test daily and watch the trend.
pomegranate / 3904 posts
We obviously didn’t try this month, but I’m at 9dpo, and no af yet which is unusual for me without meds. I’m 99% certain I’m not pregnant, but wouldn’t that be a funny (read: not very funny) coincidence.
clementine / 950 posts
@Kaohinani: vag pessary. I’m doing same dose 100 twice a day. I couldn’t get into see my dr before this cycle started so just hoping for the best but internally wondering if I should up the dose 🤔 evidence isn’t that great for progesterone in non med cycles and dosing is so random.
When will you test??
@yellowbeach: oh man. I’m a poas Addict so would probably do option 1 and drive myself insane 🤣
@LAZB: life is kind of weird like that 🤔 do you feel normal?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: maybe test every couple days then daily leading into your POAS date.
@Jessiemuller88: lurking is always welcome! I hope it's nothing more than a cyst for you.
@karenbme: I get legitimately happy for some people... Then there are some people that makes this world one step closer to Idiocracy by having babies. 🤦♀️
@Kaohinani: sounds like a full day at least it's something to pass the day?
I think I'll be ovulating in the next day or so.
clementine / 950 posts
@Jessiemuller88: I’m hoping it’s just weird twinges I always feel like the process and drama is miscarrying is salt in the wound honestly. I’m hoping this is over ASAP for you
persimmon / 1419 posts
Ok, I need some input... I'm trying to decide if I should buy ridiculously cheap plane tickets to Switzerland (BOS-GVA for $335 on a decent airline with only 1 stop, meaning basically 2 for 1) while they're available, but if I do get pregnant this month AND it's in the right place AND it sticks I would be just outside the cut off for international travel when the deal starts (September). I'm only 6 dpo so I have no sense of whether or not it happened and the deal will probably be gone by the time I do, but DH and I make embryos easily even though none of them have been viable yet... Would you buy the airfare? I passed on a similar deal on airfare to Japan in the fall because I thought I'd be pregnant and I'm not, so I'm leaning towards buying, but I'm not confident in it.

Interview tomorrow with a surgeon for yet another med secretary. 🤷♀️
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@karenbme: I'd buy them, if insurance isn't much, I'd add that for reassurance.
