@Sams Mom: @karenbme: Ditto what @SamsMom recommended. You don't want to come up empty handed on both fronts.

I'll comment more on everyone else's posts later since technically I'm in the middle of teaching now but I had to post. My first beta at 14dpo is 232!

@karenbme: I would totally book the trip!
@Chuckles: congrats! Thatโs an awesome beta!!
I just started bleeding. Iโm so thankful itโs over.

@Jessiemuller88: โน๏ธ I'm glad it's over for you. I know you're going on BC for a bit, but feel free to drop in whenever you're up for it. (Not running you off either, don't be a stranger I guess is what I was going for) ๐คฆโโ๏ธ

@Jessiemuller88: I'm glad your body is able to handle this naturally, and so, so sorry it's happening at the same time. Take care of yourself in the time it takes you to feel comfortable trying again. We'll all be thinking of you. Ditto @Sam's Mom: don't be a stranger.

@Chuckles: Congratulations, I'm so happy for you!
@Jessiemuller88: I'm sorry you're going through this again, but it's good to hear you're not in limbo anymore.
I'm still feeling pretty crappy, but at least I can feel crappy at home. My chart is completely useless because of the fever, but I'll post it anyway.
I also need to move my POAS date, I forgot to tell you when I got my crosshairs. My new date is the 19th, so I'll join Kaohinani and Yellowbeach.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@fuzzypeaches: I know, that is why my RE and I decided that I shouldn't use the progesterone LAST cycle because, even though I did take the Follistim, I overstimulated and was told not to trigger... My RE told me it would be pointless. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ My hopes are a tiny bit higher THIS cycle since I took both the Follistim AND Ovidrel before beginning Crinone. I will be testing around the 19th ... If BFP, I go for a beta 2 days later BUT, if not, I go back on my CD3.
@Jessiemuller88: My heart breaks for all that you have (and are going) through. You are such a strong woman! ๐ฆธโโ๏ธ
@Yellowbeach: As I wrote yesterday, it IS, absolutely, amazing how two individuals (around the same age) can have such completely different reactions to the same medication at the same dose!!! I metabolize all medications and hormonal treatments quickly (* I WISH I metabolized FOOD that quickly! ๐คฃ) so that is always "something" to consider. At 9 dpt, my OSOMs were blank and my FRER had a super light line. It is [probably] one of the reasons why (coupled with my ALWAYS uber-low levels of HCG) I can't get a true BFP unless I draw the second line on with a sharpie! ๐
๐คฃ
@LAZB: I appreciate your input as you always offer a valuable perspective. I think we will start out with a HB board for IF/recurrent loss/TTC w infertility, and then branch out to an FB page for those who would be more comfortable on that platform
@karenbme: I agree. (Ironically, my DD was born in 2008 and my DS was born the last day of 2014!)
On a side note - Buy the tickets! (I would, in a second, if I wouldn't have to find childcare and a place to board both pups!) What an experience! I have learned (in the last 7 yrs or so) that one can never plan for ANYTHING. (* Keep in mind, I like to have "control" over everything, so that lesson came hard with immense kicking-and-screaming! ๐คฃ) One can be prepared for various outcomes but never be fully prepared. Also, "what ifs" are futile.
I would buy them and prepare for the "what ifs" but be ready for a lovely trip if the "what ifs" don't happen until a month later when it won't affect you as much. ๐คทโโ๏ธ (Kaohinani-ian logic there ... Akin to my "Schrodinger's cat of possible pregnancy!" ๐ค
)
@Sams Mom: You are telling me! I have been going (and "on the go" with child in tow and wearing my 'boot' since 8 am ... it is now nearly 2 pm!) I really hope you OV "soon" ๐ค because lady needs to start her LT soon! It stinks being one of last one of the month to OV! ๐ฅบ
@Paranundrum: How are you holding up? Anything exciting going on with the chorus or at work? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Haha, I posted and saw you posted 26 seconds before I!
I can definitely change your POAS date! I'm excited that we are cycle/POAS "triplets."

@Kaohinani: Iโm in and out today... 15 min between meetings/bored on conference calls.
So I took all of your advice and I booked the flights ๏ธ
๏ธ So excited!! TAP doesnโt offer trip insurance on their flights so Iโll look around for that. Also may skip it if I get a bfn this month. Iโm partially convinced that my temp drop yesterday was an ectopic implantation, though, so it may not be an issue...
๐คทโโ๏ธ
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@karenbme: I AM SOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU! You got the opportunity of a lifetime for a spectacular price!
Also, perhaps it is because I am a positive person (most of the time), I don't think you will have an ectopic with your next BFP. You have had your "fair share" [to say the least!] and, I'd like to believe, that good things are coming your way! ๐ค
persimmon / 1419 posts
@Kaohinani: Thanks for the positivity. I'm fairly certain that whenever I get a bfp again I'm probably going to assume it's ectopic until proven otherwise. My doctor told me at my last follow up that if another embryo went through the same tube the risk for another ectopic would be "at least 50%" so we'll see.
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@karenbme: yay for booking your trip!
@Jessiemuller88: that totally sucks, but I'm.glad things are moving forward
@Chuckles: woo hoo!!!
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@fuzzypeaches: I feel normal, cramping a little, but I get that either way. I'm totally certain I'm not pregnant, but After all these years TTC, it's hard not to think about the what if lol
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@karenbme: Wow, those odds seem high! I hope you don't mind but when my RE called tonight to check on my progress with the medications, I mentioned you and your scenario (as he is not only a RE but the head of his department at a medical U near me and is highly respected), he stated unless 2 simultaneously released ova try for the same tube, your chances are fairly slim. So, unless you are releasing multiple eggs per cycle (from the same side) and only the secondary [or tertiary] egg is being fertilized, this should not be a consistent issue. He sited multiple studies but I could only remember the following:
https://www.webpages.uidaho.edu/ngier/ectopicagain.htm
So, I stand by my positivity that you are DUE for a sticky BFP. ๐ค
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@LAZB: Seriously, lady, I write TO you and in your litany of responses, I am forgotten?!?!? ๐คฃ I am giving you a hard time [especially as my "drink til it's pink" buddy... ] because I feel I can after being together on HB for a bit.
All in good humor.
Anyway, while I know you say, "It ain't so," if you got a sticky "ooops" this cycle, I would be ecstatic!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
In ALL Kaohinani news ... I have put on EXACTLY 10 lbs this cycle (from CD1 until today). Heavens knows if it is bloating, the fact I have limited ability to exercise (with a hairline fracture), the extra calories I am consuming due to progesterone, my sluggish digestive tract (Thanks progesterone! ) OR ALL of the listed. I feel so disgusting (bloated and constipated). I actually LOOK 3-4 mos preggers!
I sure hope THIS cycle is my lucky
bc THIS is uncomfortable ON TOP OF the extra progesterone! ๐ฅบ
*** Removed picture bc stomach pics may offend ***
(* My non-BFP "preggie" pooch... Blech! Up 10 lbs, bloated, crampy, constipated, and always hungry. I'm getting a back roll from this cycle! Forgive the cholecystectomy scars and unkempt self. #zitchinonzoom #IWantMyStickyLittle!!!)

@Kaohinani: girl, you are funny, I didn't know to respond to that! But your more recent t post will get a response for sure, 10 lbs is brutal! Especially for someone with such a small frame like you! I've looked super bloated since the latest mc, it's just not going away, and I'm not too sure what to do about it ๐คทโโ๏ธ
@Sams Mom: love opks like that, no questions about it!
persimmon / 1419 posts
@Kaohinani: You are the sweetest, and I def donโt mind, esp since he thinks I have a good chance of not having a third consecutive ectopic. ๐ค๐ค The challenge is I had two consecutive in the same tune, so idk if that article applies to me, but still ๐ค๐คThat amount of weight gain is crazy... Iโm sure itโs a combination of factors, but damn! Also, we would never be offended by your pooch I hope it means good things though!!
@Sams Mom: That looks fantastic!! Time for some fun!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: @yellowbeach: @LAZB: @karenbme: managed to get some in a couple hours before the blazing OPK , unfortunately/fortunately not rejection sex ๐คฃ
@yellowbeach: what did you settle on for testing this cycle?
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Sams Mom: Ask me in the morning still havenโt decided. Iโm guessing Iโm going to cave and trend it out against my better judgement.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach:
So does your percentages for success go up because of the 2 PGS normal embies, or is it the same odds 1 embie or 5 embies?
clementine / 950 posts
@Chuckles: ahhhh!! Great start! when do you do your next??
@karenbme: this thread is so crazy but had to respond! I am so glad you are going. This process makes us miss out on so much. If I have regrets itโs that I didnโt just live my life last year and missed out on so much travel and fun. I would do it differently if I could do it over again.
@Kaohinani: 10 lbs is crazy! but also your restraint for mar 19 is amazing. I have no will power despite all my drama I canโt see myself waiting past 8dpo lol
clementine / 950 posts
@yellowbeach: you might have answered this elsewhere but did you find out gender of embies? I donโt know if I would want to know ๐ค but one of my girlfriends used knowing the sex of the embryos to mentally โvisualize themโ which I thought was strange at the time but interesting .
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Kaohinani: Because insomnia... I did a few calculations in Excel... regarding elimination of Ovidrel from one's system.
Peak concentration: 6500 IU (not all 10K makes it into the bloodstream)
Time to Peak: 24 hrs
Half-life elimination: 26 hrs
I bring you, with full geekiness on display:
So you need to get to 11 days post-trigger to safely say it's under the 6.5 detection level for FRER...
nectarine / 2648 posts
@Sams Mom: Chance of pregnancy (1 or 2) goes up with the more you put in, but in my case I think it's negligible since we think these are weak embies. Here's hoping for winning the lottery though.
@FuzzyPeaches: Our RE knows the sex of each embryo, but we asked not to know until we confirm a pregnancy. For me, it's harder to know I "lost a little girl" rather than just "it didn't stick." We have said we will wait until a positive beta to ask - however, this is also the first time we've transferred two. Unless there are two babies in there when they ultrasound, I'm not sure how you would know if the girl stuck or the boy stuck, assuming you transferred one of each. If both are the same sex, then even if only one sticks you know the gender. Man, just when I thought this couldn't be more complex...
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@yellowbeach: I mean you had 3 eggs mature outside your body, you might be on a lottery roll ๐ค
