@karenbme: we have two from a prior retrieval (but we think they are weak since all the others from that batch have failed), plus these two (if they make it to blast).

DH was less than supportive this round. He wasn’t into it emotionally and basically acted like it was all a big inconvenience even though 98% of that work was on my end. He said something like “ultimately it’s ip to you, but I can accept that it’s not meant to be.” 😔

I am so so grateful that we have DD, but that doesn’t make it hurt less. I feel in my gut we are supposed to have two. That’s just the feeling I have.

@Kaohinani: I’m really feeling it for you this cycle!!!

@yellowbeach: I commented on the ivf thread, but I’m really sorry how stressful and unfair this is. I hope these work, and if not, dh changes his mind

@LAZB: Thank you! I'm REALLY feeling the progesterone supplementation this cycle. Symptoms are all there (slight nausea, minor cramps, ALWAYS hungry, swollen bbs, bloated) but they are super-mild (with exception to my chin acne! THAT IS IN FULL SWING! 😒) Different could be "good," so I am hoping for great things as well!

Good morning ladies! I’ve got a squinter for you, but after I used it, I noticed it expired in 2016 yesterday was 10 dpo, which I know was too early, but DH is going out of town and I was super symptomatic (even tailbone pain, which hasn’t plagued me since my last pregnancy). So this test was taken last night at 9 pm. This morning DS woke super early and I was only able to get 45 min of sleep before I took my bbt. After super high temps all week, temp was super low. FF says my ideal test date is Sunday and AF is due Saturday. What would you do? Wait until Sunday? Test tomorrow with FMU? Go get a (non-expired) test now and pos at work (eek)? I’m trying not to freak out at work about my low temp, but it’s hard to concentrate!

@BUNBUN: That is a super-duper squinter you have there! It could be the start of a BFP, or an indent since your test was expired. 🤷‍♀️ Since HCG doubles every 48-72 hours in pregnancy, I would purchase a new batch of tests and test again on 12 or 13 dpo. If DH is out of town, and you turn up BFP, you could wrap it up and give him his "welcome home gift." Or make a meal with a baby theme (baby carrots, baby corn, baby peas, mini shrimp, and tiny slices of meat) and leave the test at his place setting, asking him what they all have in common. 😉😂
Good luck and I hope it is a true BFP. Keep us updated!

@Kaohinani: Thank you! I thought that's what you would say
lol about the "baby" dinner theme! More appropriate for us would probably be a bag of coffee with a post-it note that says "Here we go again!"

@yellowbeach: i am so sorry, and your husband's reactions was probably an extra blow.

BUT you have 2 left from your last cycle, set to be transferred for 2x the chances next week. Also, you have 2 out of this cycle to go to PGS, and then available for 2 more transfers 🤞

  15. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: this whole unemployed thing has be shifting to my husband's overnights schedule. I really need to straighten it out.

  16. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

AFM, had an unexpected jump in temp this morning 🤷‍♀️ but no fertile CM or + OPK. I know TD can adjust that down tomorrow or the next day though.

  17. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: Awe, I know how that goes. Taking a "fertility break" from the university has my days all out of whack and I feel so out of sorts. My cycle has shifted slightly to DH's since I just have to be up to BBT, and for the kids (and days I have clients). #FrustratingAtBest

P.S. Temps are looking decent, lady! Hoping you get your pos OPK soon.

  18. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: Holy moly that's a temp spike - any higher and I'd be screening you for FluA/B testing. I'm curious to see what happens tomorrow. I also had a temp spike but that's expected since I started progesterone last night. And of course, fo your enjoyment, an OSOM for trigger trend.

  19. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: I know, crazy, right?!?! I suspect my elevated temps are due to me having naturally high P4 with the additional progesterone from the Crinone. I am definitely "feeling" the progesterone side effects early this cycle. I would be curious to know what my P4 is at this time, but the PA at the RE's office told me my next hormone test will be on CD3, unless I get pregnant this cycle, in which at that time, they will do a draw (betas, E2, P4, etc) and a scan for a sac.
Your chart looks good and I hope everything is perfect for your FET. Your HPTs are really interesting to see as mine got dark and really faint quickly AND yours are just hanging in there. When is the trigger normally out of your system?

  20. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: Usually out for me around 12 days post-trigger. See my more detailed post on the IVF board, but there's a chance we might transfer our two fresh embies from this cycle on Sunday (3 days) rather than the two frozen embies on Tues (5 days). It's so complicated and such an emotional decision. This is one of those times where I just want my doctor to take the reigns and tell us what to do because I don't know the right answer.

  21. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: That must be so difficult in your situation. I do understand the need to take the power of decision from you when "one just doesn't know." I, sometimes, wish my specialists would give me less options as well (* less control over my treatment for ADs, over my seizures, over my fertility) ... I may be intelligent and well read, but [while it is my body and, ultimate decision], I do not specialize in any of their fields so I WISH they would take the reins on larger decisions!
I will venture over to the IVF board to read up, but I always feel like an intruder. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Lol. 🤣 Like, I may have infertility, and be taking the same meds as you all, but I'm an oddball out because we used TI and ICI, and are looking at a few IUIs before dipping our toes into "Lake IVF." I know it is all in my head, but whatever. 😉

  22. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: @Kaohinani: my doctor might hate me for this, but I did make him make decisions for me. If he was recommending them, that means he thinks they're a good option 🤷‍♀️ and since he has letters after him name that I don't... He got to decide and I had veto power.

@yellowbeach: which would bother you more; a failed cycle with pgs tested but potentially weak embies, or the chance of another genetic issues?

I mean I can tell you what to do, and then you decide based on your reaction what you want. It's like when you flip a coin, you don't think you know what you want until it's in the air, or even when it lands and you're excited or disappointed. Then you'll know what you really wanted... But on rare occasions you're still unsure.

I'm sorry this is the current situation though.

  23. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Kaohinani: I comment on the IVF board occasionally 🤷‍♀️ they haven't run me off with pitchforks yet.

  24. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani: I agree with @SamsMom: not an intruder at all. I think if you have IVF on the horizon, it's good to float over there and pick up some early knowledge. I wish more people understood it and were talking about it. Come visit now actually, I just posted a big update.

  25. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: just read your last one. Wow! I don't know anything about egg retrievals really, but I would assume once they're out, they are what they are. The fact you have 4 more is awesome!

  26. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Sams Mom: @yellowbeach: Thanks, ladies! (I know, all the ladies on there are super sweet and so supportive. )
Yellowbeach, I JUST read your update and THAT IS SOOOOOOOO UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME!!!! 👏👍😁😁😁 Perhaps, this was just meant to be and this transfer WILL be your "lucky" one! 🍀🤞🍀🤞 Will they be grading the embies before transfer? Hopefully, you have a few AA and AB in there! I am so excited for you! 🤩🤩🤩

  27. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Jessiemuller88: How are you today? 🤷‍♀️ When is your beta? Have you tested again today? I love seeing your tests. In fact, yours (and maybe BunBun's) have been the only "BFP" positive HPTs on here! Yellowbeach and I are testing out our Ovidrel triggers so we have stock on the "Non-BFP" positive HPTs! 😂🤣

  28. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Kaohinani @SamsMom: yeah - trying not to get my hopes too high, but having 4 more prospects is definitely a better position to be in than we were this morning. This is such a mind fuck.

On the bright side, DH and I have agreed on a plan we are both ok with.

    1) FET on Tuesday of the 2 PGS-normal frozens from ER#1 (original plan)
    2) We'll send anything that survives from ER#2 off for PGS testing this week. If #1 doesn't result in pregnancy, we'll transfer whatever PGS normal embryos we have from ER#2.
    3) If there are no PGS normal embryos from ER#2 to transfer, we'll move on to ER#3, with some changes to our medication protocol, including 2x ovidrel trigger shots instead of just one.
    4) If ER#3 is a bust, we'll try naturally (and risk a TFMR) until we really feel it's not meant to be.

I feel better at least knowing DH and I are on the same page now. That was almost the bigger source of stress for me.

Thanks everyone for dealing with my neurotic board domination today (and probably tomorrow, too).

@kaohinani: My tests still look the same ☹️ No progression in 3 days. I go in this afternoon for my second draw, but I’m not feeling too hopeful.

  30. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: that is fantastic news that your husband has come around and you have a solid plan!

Baby news on here of any kind is welcome to distract me from the shit show that is trying to find a damn job. It amazes me how little they want to pay someone that deals with people's medical records! Which BTW 3 if the doctors in one practice I applied to still uses paper charts!? Sooooo many file shelves!

  31. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@yellowbeach: I am so happy for you and DH! It is so much easier to be on the same page and come up with an agreement going forward! (God knows, DH and I have had to reevaluate our wants, needs, and plans in regard to TTC many times in the last 3 years!) I think your plan is perfect and affords you both a number of "open doors" for pregnancy, as well as, accepted closure on ART, forbid if it comes to that.
So much good luck and hugs of excitement to you!

  32. yellowbeach

    nectarine / 2648 posts

@Jessiemuller88: Yeah the progression is subtle. Thankfully you’ll get some answers after your beta this afternoon. Are they going to make you wait until tomorrow for results? I’m so hoping you get good news!

@SamsMom: Absolutely - the risk for HIPAA violation in that role, even accidental, is high. You’d be amazed how many medical records get faxed to a wrong number, etc. you’d think they would pay at least a small premium for competence and reliability. Here’s hoping you get some good job news before the weekend. 🤞

  33. Kaohinani

    grapefruit / 4144 posts

@Jessiemuller88: Wow, maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me but I see progression between 14 dpo and both the 15 dpo (which is a tad bit darker) AND 16 dpo (which looks lovely!) I do understand how stressed you must be and the apprehension to be too attached to the fact you are BFP. Please, keep us in the loop and update with your betas. I will be hoping, wishing, and praying that everything turns out well.

  34. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@Jessiemuller88: your 14 PM one is dry so that's hard to compare, I imagine fresh it was lighter, so you do have some progression. 16 looks a smidge darker also!

@LAZB: Haha! I got sucked into work, so I'll have to pick up more tests on my way home. Hoping I can wait until tomorrow and that I'll have a higher temp too.

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@yellowbeach: it blows my mind! Some positions are like we want you to access people's charts, add comments to message to the clinic side, transfer and receive records, input full histories... But we want to to do it for $9.50/hr 😶
