My cousin's wedding is in downtown Chicago this May, and I'll be 36 weeks 
I'm local and definitely planning on attending, but question is.. what in the world am I going to wear?? Anyone else attend a fairly formal occasion late in their pregnancy? I'm only 18 weeks now, so it's hard to know what will work. But considering last pregnancy, I at least have an idea of how huge I'll be. Any recommended websites, designers, etc for dresses? Hoping not to have to wear a giant mumu

rent the runway. you can search by maternity. Maybe buy one dress somewhere like asos, keep the tags if its a maybe, and give rent the runway a spin. Worse case is you don't use it and you wear the asos one. best case, the RTR dress fits great and you return the asos one!

I was a bridesmaid at 38 weeks...aka I was huge!! I was able to choose my own dress for the wedding and I ended up getting it from Tiffany Rose - they specialize in maternity dresses ...super cute and they had some more formal styles to choose from

I'd definitely do Rent the Runway. I did it for non-maternity and it was a good experience. Beats having to buy a dress you will wear once!

I got two maternity dresses from ASOS when I was pregnant and I loved them. One was nice enough to wear to a wedding. I just ordered one size up from my normal size and it fit great, very comfortable. I carried large so they seemed very true to size. The best part is free shipping and free returns so I actually got to try 5 or 6 dresses and choose the best.

I did Rent the Runway at 22 weeks. They don't have true maternity though, so not sure you would find something that would work that late in pregnancy. I'd consider ebay etc as I'm sure there are other mamas who'd love to get rid of a barely worn formal maternity dress.

@MCD919: I got a great Japanese Weekend dress at Nordstroms for around $80 - very LBD - sleeveless and short with some floral (black on black) detail. I wore it when I was 38 w pregnant. Actually - if you have any interest I can send you a picture - I'd give it to you if you want to pay for shipping...

Also...I second @Mrs. Lemon-Lime: get a nice LBD and dress it up! I have seen cute preggo ladies at weddings in black t-shirt dresses dressed up with fancy jewelry that look great! Plus at 36 weeks you totally get a pass!
