Now that it’s warming up here I’m thinking this will be a great option to hide summer swelling but not be roasting. Just tried some from pink blush though and they’re dragging on the ground! Any brands that work for shorter people? (I’m about 5’2”) Or should I just try non maternity styles?

@bhbee: I'm so jealous that it's warming up for you! It's still going to be in the 30's here until a month from now 
but anyway re dresses, no advice on brands, I'm tall--but won't Nordstrom do alterations for free? they have a TON of maternity maxi dresses.

@bhbee: I’m 5’2 as well. I used stitch witchery (I think that’s the name) to hem a maternity maxi dress. I had never found a regular one that was short enough, and didn’t even try to find a maternity one. I figured they wouldn’t exist! And, yes, it was very comfy and practical. Didn’t even have to shave.

Last summer Old Navy had some great maternity/nursing dresses that were midi length that might be closer to maxi? Soo comfy AND cheap!

Honestly, I just chopped the bottom off some of the too-long dresses. I didn't feel like hauling out my sewing machine to hem something I'd only be wearing a few months. Besides, no one is going to look at the hem anyway

I loved maxi dresses while pregnant (both times). I am only 5'0" so I only buy petite sizes. I believe I found mine in a variety of places: Macys, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic outlet (random), and I think I had one from Boden. I never bothered with actual maternity dresses for maxis, I just wore regular ones with a higher waist.

I'm 5'1 and I have 2 Target non-maternity in my size that are totally fine in height. I wore both during pregnancy since the waist cut off is just below boobs.
