I've been thinking it might be nice to get one of those big pillows to sleep with, but don't really know where to start. Do any of you have one, which one, and would you recommend it? Thanks!

I'm on the shorter side and I just used a king sized pillow. It was nice because as I got further along I liked to roll over because I'd get too warm. With a king size pillow (or a body pilow) that was doable. Not always easy with a pregnancy pillow.

I can tell you what NOT to get... the Snoogle. I would have rather just used a king size pillow or long body pillow. Whenever I wanted to turn over with the snoogle it was like wrestling an alligator. No cool. I know there is another pillow that is shaped like a horseshoe, that would probably be better.

@Reese: totally agree about turning over. I did find the snoogle comfortable but I'm a restless sleeper and every time I tried to turn in my sleep it woke me up.

@Reese: Haha yes totally like wrestling with an alligator! That thing was so huge and unwieldy.
@Droll: I bought a Preggle and liked it alot better than the snoogle. It's smaller, shaped like a candy cane and you can use your own choice of head pillow. The snoogle takes up almost as much room on your bed as another adult. Huge.

I had the boppy brand one. Turning over is definitely like wrestling an alligator, but totally worth it, IMO. Saved my life in two pregnancies.
My husband is not a fan of having it in our bed... oh well!

Body pillow and pregnancy wedge get my vote! Plus my three other pillows I am currently using...

I used and liked the Snoogle! I'm a back sleeper and the Snoogle was the only pillow that allowed me to sleep comfortably on my side.

Im a tummy and side sleeper. After using the Snoogle for awhile now I don't like it as much. I can't use it with my regular pillow and it gives me a stiff neck. Also when DH is in the bed too I have to get out of the bed entirely to change positions. When I'm super tired and want to get in a nice deep sleep fast though it does the trick each time.

I bought a snoogle and hate it. It's uncomfortable and I would feel trapped inside it. I've been using a body pillow and that works much better in my opinion.

I didn't like the snoogle either, my friend gave me her mini one and I was more annoyed having to adjust everything all the time. I loved using my own body pillow (it's from Target). In 3rd trimester I added this pregnancy wedge from BRU and that really helped too.

I considered a snoogle for a long time but I am SO glad I just went with a big king size pillow instead. It was perfect and its small enough to be useful after pregnancy too. I can't sleep without it now!
