Where did you find maternity work pants? I checked Old Navy and Gap online but neither have the greatest reviews. Where else should I look?

The pair I bought, I got from Gap. I had a pair from Motherhood too, but the band kept falling down.

I have a pair from RG Maternity and a pair from Isabella Oliver. I also have skinny black twill pants from Gap

I bought 3 pair (black, tan and gray) from Motherhood. I bought the panel ones and they held up really well throughout my pregnancy.

@Tanjowen: @danda: The actual store or where they sell them at Macy's?

H&m also has a maternity line and so does Ann Taylor loft.
Most maternity lines have much bigger online selections.

@LindsayInNY: I have grey and black pairs from Kohls -- full panel and am happy with them both!

@LindsayInNY: from the actual store. I didn't know Macys sold them, but that's a nice option because Motherhood stores are sparse in my area!

@LindsayInNY: I got mine at the actual store but I think it might be the same items in Macys.

I'm borrowing a pair from a friend that are one of the Target brands...Liz something or other, I think?

@regberadaisy: I know but I hate buying online I need to try stuff on which isn't making this easy!

The Gap demi panel trouser in black were the closet to "suit" pants that I could find. I had several pairs and wore them all the time - don't count the Gap out!

I got a nice full panel pair from Motherhood Maternity recently. They're not the most attractive pants in general, but they look good with boots and a long sweater, which is basically all I'm wearing these days.

@LindsayInNY: that is frustrating! Maternity selections at regular stores are pretty dismal.

I've bought full panel pants from Destination Maternity (Motherhood) and loved them. I bought a number of pairs last pregnancy that held up so well I've reworn them this pregnancy. Problem is that with twins I'm going to need to go up a size and buy more.

Have you tried thrift stores? I got some great maternity basics at thrift stores that were great for work--mostly dresses but that fit the season and the climate here. You can't beat the prices and things tend to be in pretty good shape.

Walmart.com pants are working for me in my business casual office. I spill a lot so the $13 price tag was very attractive.

I wore a pair of Eileen Fisher black pants, but they weren't technically maternity, just really comfy After those no longer fit I just switched to dresses. Luckily I only had to go to court a few times, in which case I just paired a black jacket I already had with a black dress. Luckily my office is pretty casual and client meetings are pretty casual too.

@Corduroy: I just bought a ton of stuff from Walmart-- 8 shirts and a coat for 125!

@MamaCate: Not sure I have any good ones near me that carry maternity
@Corduroy: Never thought of that! @simplyfelicity: Let me know what you think when you get them! Maybe I should splurge on some pants and go cheapy for tops?

@Mamaof2: The store near me had only one or two work pant options. I'm going to try the store near my parents this weekend. Maybe it'll have better options?

I really liked my Gap maternity pants for work. I wore them nonstop for months and they held up great.

I had a liz lange pair from target that I loved! They held up really well. The pair I had from Motherhood shrank in the wash and ended up with some weird bunching around the belly panel because of the pants material shrinking.

Another vote for Gap pants. I wore the demi panel skinny in the ankle length pretty much constantly throughout pregnancy. They work great with boots or flats and are far more flattering than my pants from motherhood.

I ordered some from A Pea In the Pod and they totally sucked. And beware that their return policy SUCKS. You can either return in the store for a store credit only or exchange for other items, or YOU pay return shipping. Since pretty much everything I ordered sucked (all APITP brand), it was going to cost $20 to use the cheapest method to return them. So I had to just eat it and get a store credit and that pissed me off SO BAD and made me never want to buy anything from them again.
Also beware that Ann Taylor Loft maternity has to be shipped back in, you can't return in store like you can normal online purchases.
A PP mentioned that the selection online is better and that's true, but just beware that for some reason, some retailers make it a huge hassle to return your items. And most are a 45 day return policy (from the day your order is placed, not when you receive it) and maybe I'm just a slacker with getting to the shipping store, but it's always a tight turnaround for me. I am with you, and I'll just suffer with what is available for me to try on in person.
APITP was the worst though, and in my experience, the only items that I've been impressed with from them were not their store brand. I had great luck with French Connection and BCBG maternity there, but they really burned my ass when their stuff was so crappy in the fit and quality and then they make it so complicated to return.

i wore exclusively gap demi panel - loved them! nothing else fit me (i carried small).

@PrincessBaby: Ahh, good to know!! I'm not an online shopper - I need to try things on. But return policies like that scare me too!

I had these and like them okay--but in dark gray, not pinstripe. They aren't lined so they aren't super nice, but I liked the fit of them more than other maternity pants (they have a slimmer leg). http://www.destinationmaternity.com/Product.asp?Product_Id=932800291&MasterCategory_Id=MC27&green=C3D70617-11C6-5EBB-AF7E-E93A9E035BCE

@PrincessBaby: I agree. I bought a dress, and a sweater from a pea in the pod. The dress is scratchy and itchy like wool, but is a cotton wrap dress. Plus it's see through, even though it's red. The sweater is paper thin, and it was regularly $98 (thankfully I got it for $33). Not impressed.
I also ordered the gap trousers for work, and I'm not in love with them. The material doesn't feel nice, and I don't love the fit. I'm still on the hunt!

@LindsayInNY: I bought all my jeans and tops at a local consignment store near me. I got a lot of nice maternity stuff for cheap!

I really love the gap perfect trousers. I wore them right through the end of my last pregnancy and bought more for this one! They stay up even though I have a tiny bump and they accomodated my huge-ness last time. They are boot cut which I know not everyone loves.

I'm lucky in that I get to wear jeans every day but a friend of mine said she got all of her work pants at Kohl's

I ordered a ton of stuff online and just returned it as needed. I probably kept 10% but it was just easier. Every time I tried to go shopping in a store they didn't have anything in my size or had a really tiny maternity section. I never had good luck with Pea in the Pod or Destination Maternity. I thought the prices were way too high for the quality.
