Might be a silly question, but any idea what I can do about milk in Mexico? We are traveling for the first time since my son started drinking WCM instead of formula. Before I would have used bottled water and made the bottles as we needed them.
Now that he will drink milk in a straw cup - where can I buy it? I assume it's safe? We will be staying at a huge all inclusive kid friendly resort. It's been a few years but I think I remember that everything at the big resorts, even water, is safe. Right?

I went to an all-inclusive resort in Dominican Republic a few months back with our toddler and they has boxed milk available, including soy and lactose free! Zero issues for our toddler.
I would bet it's the same for your resort but I would email them and ask to put your mind at ease.

I went on vacation with our friends and their 18 month old and they had no issues with boxed milk that they purchased at a local market.

We took DD to Puerto Vallarta last year when she was 14 months. We just gave her what the hotel had which was pasteurized. I also put some single serve boxed milk from Horizon in our checked suitcase to take with and keep in our room's mini fridge. We'd use those first thing in the AM or when the kitchen was closed. DD normally drinks whole organic milk so neither was my ideal situation, but she had no issues and it was only for a week.

I'm sure you won't need to do this, but if you wanted to be extra careful, you could boil the milk for a few minutes (in a cup in the microwave or on a stove). Let it cool, stir it a bit, and serve.
I've visited friends who only drink raw (unpasteurized) milk, and I've done this in preparing milk for LO.

@autumnlove: @Mrs Spoon: Thanks! I also thought about the boxed milk but wasn't sure since it's not whole? But maybe for just 4 days it's not a big deal. we have his 15 month appt a few days before we leave so I'll ask her, too.

@Mrs Spoon: @autumnlove: I just found out that FreshDirect (which I use weekly) sells the little 8 ounce shelf milk in WHOLE milk! Reviews are good too.
Thank you for helping me think of this! It seems perfect, even just to keep in the diaper bag, not just for travel.

We went to Cancun with our 17 month old last year and the resort was all inclusive and supplied milk. It didn't taste like our milk, but DS got used to it pretty quickly.

@Alivoo01: I think I missed your response last time, thanks for this info! I am going to take the shelf-stable milk JUST in case, but its good to know that they provided it and your LO adjusted. I may be concerned over nothing at this point, but I figure better safe than sorry!
