Okay, it's been well established that everyone has different feelings about Mother's Day. I do enjoy different seasons and holidays and creating a time and place to honor different things, so yes, I enjoy Mother's Day. I'm not going to pretend I don't.

We are going up to my Ils for the weekend, which is totally fine. I don't mind spending the day with my MIL. But I just realized my sil is coming home from college this weekend and will definitely make it all about her. She does not enjoy sharing the spotlight (there are some issues that run deep, there). And not that I need the spotlight on me, but she for instance gets annoyed if my MiL is spending more time with the kids than with her. And I just don't want to deal with that drama this weekend.
