I've heard that car seat mirrors are unsafe in an accident (could go flying into the car seat) but I've also heard they can be a lifesaver with a screaming baby. Also, the instructor in my CPR class told this story about how her son almost choked to death on a toy that came apart while in his car seat...I'm thinking that she wouldn't have known he was turning blue if there was no mirror. If I get one and attach it to a headrest, is that considered safe? Seems like a sturdy anchor. Also, I saw a Fisher Price mirror that was tacky but has lights and sounds you can control from the front seat--wouldn't that be handy if you're alone in the car with a fussy baby that wants to be entertained?

Please share your mirror experience--do you have one? Why or why not? Which one? Etc.
