I have always taken 25mg of levothroxine/synyhroid
which is a super low dose....but I took my last pill today and calleld for a refill and apparently I have no more refills........ I'm freaking out, I'm 30 weeks and I doubt missing a day will do a thing but I hate missing........but I can't do anything until Monday 
I don't get why I even need authorization for a refill now......I take it every day........

@FaithFertility: Can't you tell the pharmacy that it is important? I have run out of pills before and the pharmacy gave me "loaner" pills that they subtracted from my next refill.

My pharmacy has done that as well! For this type of med usually pharmacies will make it work for you!
If I accidentally miss a day I take one first thing in the am and one in the pm right before bed the next day to catch back up.

Thyroid meds are no big whop if you skip a day. It stays in your system a long time so there's a very minimal effect. Don't freak out. I asked my doctor what to do if I ever missed and he told me "nothing."

Also once the baby (fetus) is like 9-10 weeks old, he has his own thyroid and doesn't depend so much on you. By then it's more about you being comfortable and keeping the baby on a good growth path. You are totally fine.

I would call the pharmacy back up and see if the pharmacist can do an emergency prescription to get you through until you can see your doctor.
I had this happen to me a few months ago for birth control and phoned thinking I had 1 refill left. I didn't so they prescribed me one pack.

@mamimami: agreed, levothyroxine stays in your system for a week. My thyroid was removed, I take much higher doses than you, and my levels stay okay even if I miss the occasional dose. You'll be just fine!
But, pharmacies generally will give you an emergency supply, which is useful to know for crucial meds. -

No worries, your baby is making his/her own thyroid hormone now
sounds like you're usually on top of it so just one day won't make your levels go crazy.

For something like synthroid you pharmacy should definitely give you 3 tablets or something to get you through until your MD can call Monday!
