I am an obsessive planner, which doesn't really jive with TTC and I know I'm counting my chickens before they hatch, but whatever.
So, I'm MOH in my BF's wedding in early November. Next month will be our second cycle of TTC. If we were lucky enough to conceive this cycle I'd be due 14 days after the wedding. I really want to TTC but also really don't want to be a whale in a bridesmaids dress.
Should we skip TTC until March? What would you do?

If it were me I would wait. 14 days is cutting it real close. I had a friend miss her brothers wedding because she went into early labor. Too much could happen in that last month and I wouldn't want to chance it. That being said, it's hard to put off TTC when it's something you want so badly so I feel for ya. Good luck with whatever you decide!

If you had the baby early, would you regret missing the wedding? That's what it comes down to. I would be less concerned about being really big in the dress and more concerned about the possibility that you could miss the wedding all together. Given that you are MOH, I would probably hold off a month to be safe.

thanks ladies. You are all saying the things that I know I should do, it's just so frustrating to stop trying when DH has just gotten baby rabies.

I guess I'm an odd man out, I would still TTC. If I couldn't make the wedding, I'm sure my friend would understand.

I would wait-- if this is a close friend (you're her MOH, so it appears that you're close), you should try to be there for her. Not saying that you should put your life on hold for people, but this seems like a situation where you should wait a bit.

The thing is, I people-pleased my way through life and when it came to TTC, I felt that I would no longer put my life on hold for anyone. TTC was a huge deal to me and for once I felt justified in being a little selfish. That said, I didn't have MOH duties to think about. I would say to do what YOU want to do. Your friend would absolutely understand.

Hubs want to let nature take her course on this one. If we get a BFP then we'll deal with it. If we don't then we don't have to worry.
She's by best friend and I think would be understanding, but I haven't talked to her about our baby plans (she's been a little wedding-centered lately).

My best friend just got engaged over the holidays and there are two others that will most likely get engaged this year as well. While I don't think any of their weddings will be this year -- they will def coincide with our baby(ies) timeline in the next few years as well. We all joke and try to be cognizant of different important life events, but I wouldn't change my timeline for a wedding nor would my friends change their wedding dates (once they are set) for our future pregancy(ies).

I guess my opinion is if she already asked you and you two are close (obviously close enough for you to be MOH) I would put it off for one month. It sucks to put TTC on hold, but you don't want it to affect your friendship.

I'd wait becasue I wouldn't want to miss it but that's just me.

I would definitely wait since it's just a month on hold, and I wouldn't want to possibly miss a good friend's wedding - esp if I were in the wedding party!
