Help!
I had no nausea with DD1, I am not so lucky this time around. I'm only getting it in the evening but it's making dinner and bedtime challenging
Anyone else find a DIY remedy that worked well?

Have u tried Unisom tabs and B6? It's the equivalent to Diclegis but I never could take it during the day because it makes me drowsy. But it might work in the evenings since you can go to bed.

I second what @gingerbebe said; half a unisom and a B6 vitamin. I took those every night before bed. I was always so much more nauseas when I didn't remember to take them, and only threw up when I'd skipped the pills.

Stay hydrated. That's my number one piece of advice. I'm going through it with baby #2 right now. I find I feel much better on days when I drink a ton of water/tea/seltzer. And eat small, frequent meals.

Is it actual nausea, or do you think it could be heartburn? I had "traditional" morning sickness with DD and would feel really bad at night as well. I thought I was dealing with "morning" sickness in the evenings too, but after a while I started to realize it was heartburn. Getting on some meds helped me feel better in the evenings, but I also had to avoid foods that made me feel bad (salads were the worst for some reason). The nausea-like feeling went away when my morning sickness did (sometime shortly after the first trimester), but then I dealt with other heartburn issues throughout my pregnancy.

I threw up my dinner most nights for a good chunk of this pregnancy, earlier on. Not fun! It got to the point where I'd feel better after throwing up and could often eat a little more dinner after, lol. I never tried any meds or supplements, just tried to stay hydrated and eat what I could. Hope it passes for you soon!

My morning sickness also tended to be worst during the evening. The only thing that sort of helped was sticking to a very limited number of foods - for two months about the only foods I could stomach were half a toasted bagel, dry cereal, or low fat yogurt. Anything else was not staying down... On bad nights, I would just make a cup of miso soup and sip that. I also take a diclegis midday.

@StrawberryShortie: nausea is the worst! for me, it's pretty debilitating. The absolute only things that work for me this and last pregnancy are staying busy (not always possible in the evening!) and exercising. this morning I was feeling AWFUL, like 8/10 nausea, lightheaded, flu-like. etc. I grudgingly went on a slow run with my husband and felt better by the minute.

@gingerbebe: I've actually never heard of Unisom or Diclegis but I'll try the B6 for sure
@catchafallingstar the hydrated thing is a good point, I drink a lot of coconut water and that usually makes me feel better
@bookwormmama it's definitely not heartburn. I feel just really queasy, almost like seasick and it comes in waves which isn't very helpful when I'm working on a bride and I'm trying not to throw up lol
@periwinklebee yes! I'm going to try the soup thing. Maybe I'll eat my body weight in Pho this pregnancy
Thanks everyone for your input
I will hydrate and eat grilled cheese and expertise

I have been drinking lemonade in crushed ice, which helps a little. If I don't take Unisom, I get nauseous (which has been worse now in third tri).

@Bibliolove: what is Unisom anyway? Is it a vitamin?
A lot of mamas in here use it

Unisom is a sleeping pill but the chemical in it plus B6 is the equivalent of an anti nausea drug called Diclegis. Many OBGYNs including mine suggest it as a first line against morning sickness because it's safe although it will likely make you drowsy. You just take half a tab with a B6 vitamin.
Gatorade also helped me a lot.

Gatorade and a carb plus protein snack an hour before it usually hits, plus preggo drops to suck on helped a little
