So. . . weird. But then, if the daughter gave birth from her mother's uterus . . . would she be birthing her sister/brother?
Just a thought.

@JennyD: They only transfered the uterus, not the ovaries, so they didn't get the mother's eggs.
Seems like a really, really complicated procedure! I'm guessing the point is so the daughters can carry a baby? I can't imagine they could do that without fertility treatments, but could do IVF, right?

@Foodnerd81: I have no idea. On a semi-related note, my friend and I were wondering what men have on their insides where we have the uterus/ovaries etc. I postulate bigger bladders. . .
I'm totally just being goofy today

I'd try to find a surrogate waaaaaay before having someone else's uterus sewn inside me. You couldn't convince me that pregnancy would be safe at all afterwards.

I would donate my uterus once I am done with this baby. I feel no need for it any longer, and definately wouldn't miss my monthly friend. Leave the ovaries for the hormones and call it a day:)

That is amazing! It won't be long before this is a storyline in Grey's Anatomy!
