Hellobee Boards

Very timely. My son likes pop music the best, but he also likes some foreign language singers. My husband is European and lately we've been listening to Italian pop in the car, which my son hums a long to.

At home, we listen to Sunny Radio via Pandora...it's basically 70s music, lol.

DD1 has customized a "Yo Gabba Gabba" station on Pandora- which is now mostly classic kids songs, a little Taylor Swift, Feist, and Bob Marley.

Until recently, I always let E have her Peppa Pig CD on in the car and either watch cartoons on TV or listen to nursery rhymes/ kids YouTube channels on at home (utterly miserable!!). For the last few weeks, I've been playing music I like in the car and it has actually been going down well with E. Today, she said she liked Jeff Buckley!

She always dances to Bob Marley.

D always asks for Lion King in the car. If I say no, then he asks for NPR. He's my kid, alright! Ha!

@littlebug: ha, my son also asks for NPR sometimes. He says, "no music, let's listen to talking." The other day he asked if Cookie Monster was talking; it was Bernie Sanders!

@BananaPancakes: we do a lot of Grouplove too. "Ways To Go" is our nighttime clean up song.

He's almost 4 and really loves everything we put on: indie, pop, acoustic guitar, kids music, bluegrass, Native American flute music. His teacher likes to teach them old songs, like "good ship lollipop" and he sings those all day. But he's also the kind of kid who sing-narrates his life.
