Please know your little boy continues to be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry that this is happening.
If it's any reassurance at all, I have a friend who had a liver transplant when she was about 2 years old (this was over 30 years ago). She went on to have a full recovery and is now the proud mother of two little boys.

Oh, I also meant to add that this is in no way your fault! You are a wonderful mother who is doing absolutely everything to take care of your baby. This could happen to anyone, which is why it's so scary. Big hugs to you. You are an incredible mom.

I am SO SO sorry. I somehow missed this, and I apologize. My heart is honestly breaking for your family. I can only imagine how scary it must have been to have to move hospitals, but it sounds like your care providers are trying to be very proactive in making sure your son is where he needs to be and can get the services he needs to get well. I wish you were closer and I could really do something to help. If there is anything you can think of, please, please let me know. It is so important to have support when you need it. I am thinking of you, of your family, and of your strong, brave little boy.

Just a short update, he's having his biopsy done and a central line put in. We have one piece of good news, after having big increases in bilirubin, it finally has gone down. Maybe things are turning around.

I cannot imagine going through what you are going through. I am sending you lots and lots of good thoughts and wishes for the speedy recovery of your LO.
If there were any real justice and fairness in the universe, babies would *never* get sick like this. There is just no reason for a poor baby to endure this! :'(
