Just now catching up on all of this. I am so so sorry you're all going through this terrible time. My husband and I are going to pray right now for strength for you and your family and for healing of your son. I'm so glad his bili has gone down, I hope he keeps stabilizing and recovering and that a transplant won't be necessary.

We don't have new numbers as of yet. He made it through surgery. We should have biopsy results tomorrow, which will hopefully be informative. We're in the picu now weaning him off oxygen so he can eat.
I started the process to become a living donor today and, if all goes well, should be avalible after tomorrow.
I think he's acting pretty normally and hope his body is fighting hard. I'm feeling better after getting a few hours of rest at my parents hotel while L wasn't allowed to eat before surgery. I don't venture to guess what tomorrow will bring but I'm hopeful he will be OK one way or the other

@Ms.Badger: Also, just in case it comes to it, I wanted to tell you that I have a friend from high school whose husband was a living donor for her daughter when she had a liver problem (no sure what it was)... both her daughter and her husband are doing well now, 5+ years later. I can give you her contact info. if you'd like.

he's such a strong, brave little guy--so glad to hear that his spirits are a little better (and yours too!). we will see what the biopsy results are, but for now i hope the bit of good news about his bilirubin levels is just the starting point to a speedy recovery, whatever treatment/surgery he may need. hugs to you all.

Thinking of Baby Badger and his biopsy results today. My fingers and toes are crossed and I continue to pray for him. Glad that the numbers looked better yesterday and that you were able to get some rest!
