we are on day 2 of nap training and LO has already CIO for 45 minutes before I decided to scrap the nap. Now she is CIO again and it's been 15 minutes.

i know it is sad.
charlie didn't cry long, and i capped crying at 20 min. but i think he was pretty easy to nap train. we still haven't done it with olive and she needs it.
stay strong! charlie is still an excellent napper to this day.

I never nap trained my first because I couldn't stand to hear her cry! I am planning on nap training the second one, though. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I think it pays off once it's done.

probably one of the hardest things still difficult to hear Wagon Jr. cry, and he's 2.5 now! hang in there, it is all worth it in the end!!!

what do you do if they just won't stop crying? it's been 45 minutes and her second attempt at a nap, so none so far today. just keep trying again in an hour?

Are using one of the gradual techniques like Ferber? 45 minutes of non-stop crying sounds heartbreaking!

No advice on nap training, just wanted to give you a hug to help you through this heart wrenching time!

No gradual techinque. I've found that she gets more upset when I check on her and leave.
45 minutes is heart wrenching. Especially once I pick her up and her face is wet from tears.

Awww.... hope the training goes fast so she can get sleep and you can get a braek!

I broke and rocked her to sleep just now, bc she only got a 20 min. nap in the ergo today. Poor thing must be exhausted.
two steps forward and one step back, i guess.

So tough! Hang in there...It is totally worth it. But nap-training was soooooo hard for me - harder than night training.
Do you have a video monitor. Now that I have one, I find that if I can see what she's doing, it pains me a lot less to hear her cry.
