DD started wearing necklaces when she was 2.
My cousin gave her this one and she wore it all day every day for about 1.5 years.

Now she's wearing one of my necklaces. We had the chain shortened for her.

My LO wears necklaces almost every day (often multiple necklaces a day - diva!) and has never had any issues with them getting caught on anything, etc. Carters has cheap, blingy ones, as does Target's $1 section. You can also easily make your own - just get elastic thread and whatever beads your LO likes.

We have a gumball necklace for DD. She loves it.

We bought ours at a local crafts fair
