I'm due at the end of September and we're planning to spend a week visiting my in-laws in NYC mid-December. Pending dates, LO will be ~10 weeks. My husband grew up in NYC, and we lived there for 5 years after college before moving to Dallas, so we know the city well. However, we've never tried to navigate it with a newborn, and certainly not in the cold!

Any advice from NYC mommas, or frequent visitors? Are there car companies that have car seats, so I don't have to bring mine on the plane? (We usually use New Family to get to/from the airport). I hope to babywear as much as I can since LO will still be so small, but what do I do when we need to take a cab somewhere instead of the subway? Also, any tips on keeping me/baby warm? I don't plan on buying a fancy coat since we're in Dallas the rest of the year, but my existing ones won't fit over both me and baby.

Any other tips/tricks for navigating the city would be appreciated. We'll likely be flying into LGA and staying with my in-laws on the UWS. Thanks!
