I think (almost?) everyone at my son's day care brings in goody bags for birthdays. We didn't last year, and I don't think anyone minded, but now we know the other parents better and are kind of feeling the pressure.

Thing is... I don't think the kids really need any more useless junk. Everything DS brings home just lies around the house, if he plays with this stuff at all it's only for a day, and I'd be very happy if the other parents decided to just skip this. I'd much rather bring in an awesome cake, but no "goodies." Would it look bad if we were the only ones not doing goody bags?

I mean, I could probably think of something semi-useful, but the kids are all swimming in toys and it just seems so wasteful anyway!
