All 3 of us have had what seems to be the flu this week. O's appetite wasn't great Wednesday, vomited a few times Thursday morning and had a slight fever, then no more vomiting but decreased appetite, fever, cough, congestion, etc. since then. Fever stopped Friday night, yesterday she was a bit better but still pretty wiped out and not eating much.
I'm trying to figure out if this is just par for the course recovery or if I need to worry. This morning she woke up bright and early and seemed normal, but then refused almost all of her breakfast and got really fussy, and is down napping already. It's 8 am. Normally if she naps at all it isn't until 1 pm. (she's 25 months)
I'm worried that because she's not eating much at all, her energy level is really low and she isn't snapping back like she should be. FYI, she has a history of refusing food and failure to thrive, among other medical issues which have been resolved. She's been eating great and gaining weight for a long time now, but this behavior makes me nervous. Is this normal toddler recovery? We have a well child (haha) visit tomorrow anyway, so I'm going to ask about appetite stimulants and everything then.
