I can't really respond to your poll, because we found out during pregnancy, but it wasn't about clothes... it was about early bonding.

We're going to wait until the birth; we're currently pregnant with our first. It makes no difference to us whether it's a boy or a girl.

It really, really makes no difference to me. People talk as if raising boys and girls is like raising different species, but I think that's mostly in people's heads (especially after my experience of growing up as one of four girls...we were all SO different and not defined by gender!). Each child is so unique. I'm not going to go into this with gendered expectations, or latch onto the sex as the primary way of loving/bonding with the baby before birth.

Besides, not knowing gives me something to push for, haha!

I didn't want to know for my first, but the hubs wanted so we asked. The second time around I wanted to know so badly to see if I was having a girl. (and i am)

My sister on the other hand is team green with both pregnancies. I don't know how she does it.

I really wanted to know, so we found out the sex of our baby as soon as we could.

However, I just went and saw my friend in the hospital who was team green and didn't know her baby's sex til he was born. She said hearing them shout "it's a boy" was the most amazing thing EVER and she wouldn't have done it any other way.

She did an amazing job planning a gender neutral baby room and getting some cute gender neutral baby items. You don't need much when the baby is brand new, so you could buy minimal amounts and then purchase gendered stuff once he/she is born.

It wasn't just for clothes for us.
Part of it was I needed to mentally or emotionally prepare for whichever I got. I was convinced I was having a girl, so when I found out it was a boy I was shocked. I am glad I had the time to warm up to the idea. Now I am sooo glad I had a boy and loved being able to plan for it.
I honestly don't know how Team Greeners do it, buy all the clothes the first month of having a baby? I didn't want that stress. Knowing ahead of time gave us time to accumulate baby clothes we found on sale, craigslist, clearance and hand me downs. We have paid less than $100 for our huge stash of baby clothes ranging from NB-2T.

So I guess that was two reasons I chose to find out, prepare myself, and prepare for him.

I am almost 24 weeks pregnant and we did not find out the gender Yay team green! I will admit its hard some days, especially when people around me are finding out (including our best friends), but I think it will be SO worth it. Everything we have is gender neutral so far, so that way with baby #2 we will be all set (at least in the beginning). It gives us something to look forward to, other than, of course, the birth! I think it will give me that little extra motivation to push

We were team green, and it was amazing! I would definitely be team green for the next baby, the anticipation was amazing, and having that surprise ahead of me really helped pull me through a stressful birth experience! My little guy has a really nice gender neutral nursery, and I found TONS of super cute neutral clothes.

I wanted to find out. It gave me something to look forward to half way through the pregnancy.

I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant and we aren't finding out. There are so few true surprises left in life so I wanted this one. We plan to have at least one more baby so all of our big items will be gender neutral anyway. And I don't see why an infant has to be in gender specific clothes anyway. My baby is due in Nov so we will be staying at home for most of the first few weeks and I have no problem with no pink or blue clothes.

We aren't pregnant yet but I don't plan to find out when the time comes. H on the other hand, really wants to know and has threatened to bribe the ultrasound technician. I think it will be such a great surprise at the birth, and I do want mostly neutral stuff anyway, since we plan to have more than one.
The only downside I see is the bonding, like others said. I know I'll still feel bonded with it, but I can see how knowing the gender does make it a little more real. Of course, if I have a boy I will have a TON of hand me downs coming and with a girl I will actually have to buy clothes myself! (who am I kidding-- my family has all boys so I'm sure they will go insane on the girliest dresses and skirts they can find. Poor kid).

We were Team Green and loved it. It was nice finding out that day and people waiting on pins and needles to hear boy or girl. Bonded very well with Baby Bear, not knowing the gender didn't make me feel any different. if we have another, we'll be Team Green again. Boy or girl, I didn't care. Too much other stuff to worry about. (I'm a major worrier.)

We were team green with both pregnancies. We never discussed what we thought LO#1 was going to be until after she came when both DH and I said "oh I thought it was a boy" this time around he's hoping for a boy and I don't have a preference either way but think it is a girl.

I wouldn't have minded being Team Green, but DH was not having that at all. And I don't think I can last the whole pregnancy if he knew and I didn't. I'd force him to spill the beans eventually.

I always said I wouldn't want to know, but now that I'm starting to TTC I feel like I might actually want to find out ahead of time. I think both options have obvious benefits, but ultimately I would want to know as a bonding experience. Honestly the main argument for me not finding out is to control other people - not me! I wouldn't want a sea of pink or blue presents at my shower and I don't want people to start bugging me about the name, etc.

we want to find out, but you should wait if you and DH want to! the friends that i know that kept it a surprise loved it!

We were Team Green with both pregnancies, and when we have a third, we'll be Team Green again. It really hasn't been that hard for us to wait, and the big reveal right after birth was such an awesome experience, both times!

It's really just personal preference whether to find out or not; if you're torn about it, and you plan on having more than one kid, you could always compromise and be Team Green on one pregnancy but not the other.

Honestly, IMO it's going to be a big surprise either way I find out so why not find out early?
