Has this happened to anyone?
I ate lunch and now my tongue feels numb. I don't think it's an allergic reaction, cause I ate something I eat often.
I did google a bit, and all that I've read is that it's common.
I have an OB appointment today, so I'll ask them, too. Just wondering if this happened to any of you?

Hasn't happened to me (although part of my leg went numb at 6 weeks and hasn't come back yet!). But I sort of assume that ANY possible weirdness can/is a normal pregnancy thing. Just think about House… how many episodes did someone come in with the most random thing ever and it turns out she was just pregnant.

@Mae: that's weird about your leg. My tongue isn't numb now. But I'm at the ob now so I'll ask anyways.

@Dandelion: eh my OB said that my uterus probably just compressed some nerve and that it will come back post-birth. I hardly ever even notice it now.

Yessss, this totally happened to me!!! My doctor thought I was nuts.

@Mae: last pregnancy, towards the end, my knee was so numb from swelling I couldn't walk. It was weird!

Yes - it happened to me at the end of pregnancy. I thought drinking more water helped a little bit but that was probably just placebo effect.

@Dandelion: not long, maybe an hour or so? It only happened a few times near the end of my pregnancy. It was like, my tongue and kind of the back of my mouth/throat. It wasn't food-related at all. So freaking strange!
