    Congrats to everyone-- so excited about all the BFPs!!

    I caved and tested this morning and got a BFN-- but it is still early for me so not totally counting myself out yet. I was a little surprised at the level of disappointment though; on the one hand, I know that our timing was only so-so and it is our first month at giving #2 a shot. But I have allowed myself to get really excited at the thought of June baby....sigh. I think I am going to try to hold out to my original POAS date instead of testing again early. FX!

    So after taking a day off at 11dpo I caved today and tested at 12dpo on a wondfo. Bfn. But I had just had a feeling, so I busted out the frer and BFP! I knew it! I can't seem to get a photo loaded from my phone but I will grab a digi and have them properly up here tomorrow morning when I have time! So excited!

    @Mrs. Microscope: Congrats! Wow!

    I'm really getting frustrated and down about things. I am in my third cycle of battling this back and forth yeast and BV infection. They've put me on yeast medication that caused the BV and antibiotics that have caused a yeast infection. I've tried homeopathic stuff and been to the doctor several times. I think it is affecting our TTC, not just because BD is uncomfortable because we've still done what we need to do but a bfp isn't happening. I think my ph balance is off because of all of this and the environment is hostile to his little guys... Once again, I can't get into the doctor until Friday and I just started the fertile phase. This is beyond miserable and frustrating.

    @hellobeeboston: Last cycle I think I had 3 or 4 days...? That was the first time I used them though and it was a weird cycle so I don't know what is typical for me.

    @travellingbee: Ugh, last cycle I got 10 days of flashing before AF showed up. I think I started testing way too late. Lots of hugs to you. It can be so frustrating to feel like you don't have any control over your own body.

    @Mrs. Microscope: congrats!!!!

    @travellingbee: ugh I'm so sorry. That does sound incredibly frustrating.... I know how hard yeast infections are. When I was pregnant I had 3 or 4 and the Monistat was making me bleed so I kept freaking out. And no antibiotics while pregnant.

    I tried to cut back on sugar, took probiotics, yogurt, and honestly, when home I wore no underwear and changed twice during the day just to try to rid myself of it. I ultimately did, but it's so hard and on top of TTC I hope things improve for you!!

    @Travellingbee: Sorry to hear yeast infections suck, and then adding in the stress of TTC compounds it. @hellobeeboston had some great suggestions, those have helped me in the past!

    Thank you ladies! October seems to be a super lucky month so far!

    @travellingbee: I agree with @hellobeeboston with trying some dietary changes and no underwear at home. Maybe have dh on board too because he might just be passing the yeast and bacteria back to you each time you bd. Men don't necessarily get the same symptoms due to lack of vagina!

    cantaloupe / 6634 posts

    @ValentineMommy: Me too! I have the added pressure that my 30th birthday is this month (I POAS three days before my birthday) and a EDD in July would mean much much more insurance pay out. Buuuuut...I promised DH I wouldn't use OPKS this month and just be chill...

  24. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

    @simplyfelicity: I have no idea how to be chill about it. I suck really hard at it lol I've peed on 3 opk's today.....and still waiting waiting waiting for that O. Wth....I don't normally have a problem ovulating. I'm positive my body is just messing with me now.

    @ValentineMommy: @simplyfelicity: Cheering (and praying) so hard for both of you!!

    Thank you all. I called my doctor today and told the nurse my LMP date. She was like "you haven't even missed your period." I told her I'd gotten a number of positive pregnancy tests, so she scheduled me for a 7-week ultrasound (because of my previous loss). Hooray.

    to everyone testing soon!

    @ValentineMommy: I'm with you - these wonky cycles are for the birds! I'm on Day 17 with no sign of O anywhere. These past couple of months have been so weird. I'm hoping that this month is following last month and I'll just be a few days later than my norm.

    So thrilled for all these BFPs! Congratulations!!! October is off to a wonderful start.

    My symptom spotting is in full force at 8 dpo... Very sore boobs, gas, cramping off and on. DH doesn't wasn't to test till after my expected AF date (Sat) but this is going to be one long work week.

    Anyone else want to go nuts spotting symptoms with me!?

    AF showed up this morning. On to next month.

  30. mrs scrapbook

    apricot / 375 posts

    @YogiRunner: yes! I had a positive opk Thursday and a temp shift this morning, after some serious pinching/cramping Sunday that I'm calling maybe ovulation pain. And since yesterday afternoon, my nipples specifically (but not my boobs!) are so sore. And I was nauseous as anything last night...but that could have been the frozen year old wedding cake we ate for our first year anniversary. Either way, this is going to be a long TWW!

  31. ValentineMommy

    pomelo / 5791 posts

    @auggiefrog: I'm sorry! Cheering you on for next month!

    As for me, finally got my positive OPK! Yay! CD16 isn't too bad, right??

    @mrs scrapbook: Happy Anniversary! We also celebrated our first anniversary on Sunday And I totally felt sick and passed out on the couch after eating the cake, ha!

    @valentinemommy: I think CD16 is a fantastic day to ovulate That's when it happens for me just about every cycle! Good luck!

    No pretty pictures today. Wonfo still neg, frer is now a faint squinter bfp and digi is neg. Dh has banned me from testing again until Friday, where either CP will be confirmed or my hcg will be high enough for a proper positive. Feeling a little bummed but still holding out hope!

    @YogiRunner: happy anniversary!!! that cake was interesting...it didn't taste bad, but I don't think cake is meant to be frozen and eaten a year later!
