Have you set aside time to watch the big show?
DH and I def plan on watching... though we don't think it'll be as good as the last opening ceremony show.

Oh yes. My favorite time is the Olympics! I tape 24/7 and watch almost as much. And now they are live streaming. I will definitely be making use of my unlimited data plan those two weeks watching at work. Shhhh.

Yes we can't wait. I agree there's no way they will be able to top the Beijing opening ceremony. That one was amazing!!!

I can't wait for the opening ceremony (and just the Olympics in general)! I also agree the Beijing opening ceremony will be tough to beat!

I am excited! Total Olympics junkie. I am totally saving our remaining special edition USA diapers so Baby Y can be properly outfitted during the games

Super excited too! The Olympics were always a big deal at my house growing up, so that stuck with me. DH on the other hand, didn't grow up watching it so he has less of an attachment to it.
But he still enjoys watching all the sports with me (I almost never watch sports during a non-Olympic year unless it is gymnastics or figure skating.

I am so excited! I already set my DVR to record it, in case we miss it live. Woo-hoo!

Yeah, I just saw the commercial. I can't believe it's next Friday. I'll watch some of the sports.

I'm very excited, and looking forward to London showing Beijing what a wonderful ceremony can be done in a country that gives its citizens democratic rights instead of dumping an obscene amount of money on a spectacle instead of on infrastructure. I found Beijing's display really offensive if you can't tell, as a symbol of its inhumane system of government.

I'm looking forward to the actual games, but not the opening ceremony. They're always SO BORING to me (except Beijing's... that was awesome).

I'd love to. We'll be on vacation at the time though, so we'll have to play it by ear.
