I came home yesterday and found flowers and a card on the kitchen island! I haven’t shared my feeling yet about MD but I do appreciate this. I think he started to figure out in the last couple of days.... I will definitely share my feelings and expectations as we usually do. Thank you ladies for sharing your experiences and feedback on this matter.

@cake2017: I’m glad. I just wanted to say I was disappointed too and shared my feelings with DH day of. He asked if it was too late, and I told him it wouldn’t fix the sting to do something but it wasn’t a waste. I took a nap that afternoon while our son napped and they woke me up with a fruit and chocolate tray and dinner reservations. And my birthday is coming up in a few weeks and last night DH asked me whether I’d prefer X or Y for my birthday, which made me smile to see him thinking of it not at the last minute hahah.

@MrsBucky: That’s very sweet!!! Yes, DH usually gets me a card etc so I really don’t know what happened on MD. I will definitely bring it up though.
