Sigh. Sometimes I feel like the only one in the world, OK HB, to not have done any pro photos minus our wedding day.
No maternity, no newborn, no 1 year, no family. Blah.
It's my own fault because I have picky photography taste so I don't like any student ones available locally. No children photogs really offer mini sessions locally. And I want digital images. And I don't want to pay $500+++.
Anyone else never got any pro photos done?
Just whining.

we have not had any professional photos done since our wedding. we did do maternity, newborn, 1 year, etc photos but not by a professional. either dh or a friend took them and dh edited.
we are too poor to pay for pro photos...

Can you do a mini session when you stop by NYC? That way you have more options?
We've done engagement, wedding, trash the dress (I won the shoot), life style ("family shoot" with DH and our dog discounted because photog was having a sale), newborn
I'm itching for a family shoot but need to save for it.

We haven't done any yet. When I feel good about how my body looks in the spring, I will have some done. I'm not spending a fortune on photos I don't want to look at!

We haven't done anything except wedding! We do our own monthly "photo shoot" but haven't gotten any professional photos. I wouldn't mind doing something for her first birthday with a cake smash and one of those awesome chalkboard signs,

We did maternity photos. We haven't done newborn, 6 months, or a year. I'm thinking if we get a good family pic soon, I'll make that our Christmas card.

We didn't even have a pro for our wedding! It was the best man's cousin who is an amateur photographer. They also did some family picks for us last year. They are good but could be better.

We haven't done any pro photos either... but that's going to change this Saturday! Well, she's a student so maybe it doesn't count....
But we plan to do a real real one next May. Finally! I have been talking myself out of pro photos for too long and we're finally going to bite the bullet.

Displaying photos aren't my cup of tea, so I doubt this pro pics is something I will do when a LO arrives. I wonder where people put the pics? On the wall? In a frame? Or just in a photo album?

We did a 4 month and 1 year shoot. I only did them Bc they were gifts. But we did buy additional photos oops!

we only did newborn, my friend did our maternity. I got free 6m from our wedding package (weird).
but as far as like..family shots, really none 
makes me sad to see all the great shots people get!

Wrangling DH into photos? Ha! We've only had wedding, that's it. I have a kajillion photos of E and DH that I love more than any staged photos. (But I do love looking at the HB families!!)

Not exactly...we do studio photos sometimes...when I get Groupons for the JCP Studio or Picture People. Just so I have some nice pictures that include me.
We didn't even have pro pics at our wedding, though. We are lucky enough to have some very talented friends, though.

the last time we had "pro" pics taken was at Sears for my 20th birthday!

We haven't done any, either. I just use our DSLR for any pictures I want taken. I'm too cheap to pay someone (other than our wedding).

we have done some and are really happy with them -- however the only reason we are able to is because we thankfully know a few amazing pro photographers who give generous friends and family discounts very thankful

We only do them because our photog charges 65$! We could never afford a non student photographer.. So I'm glad we found her!

I've NEVER had pro photos done! Not even for our wedding!!! We had a friend who was dabbling his photography do our wedding and I tried to edit them myself!
Maternity photos were another friend who used my dSLR - I set it up for her and just had her go for it. Again - editing them myself.
And that's it! All other photos are just me! So you are not alone!!!

We only did our wedding. I wanted to for Christmas but missed the boat. Now we are thinking of doing them when C is 6 months or so and sitting up. I'm afraid it will be one of those things we keep putting off.

You're not alone. I hired someone from Craigslist to do our wedding pics for $300 (thanks to a tip from WeddingBee) and haven't had "pro" pics since. We got a DSLR instead of newborn pics.

We've never done ANY pro photos. Not even of our wedding (which was a 3 minute court house wedding). DH and I both like photography, and we both know what we are doing with a camera, so we just do photos ourselves.

We didn't do any pro photos either, just for our wedding. The shoot we were supposed to have got cancelled and we might do some next spring, but I am not holding my breath.
My husband is really good with a camera and editing, so he has taken some photos that I really treasure.
I am also in the camp of never knowing what to do with the photos once you get them...I am not big into too many displays in the house.

We haven't done any pro photos of our LO. i have taken 10 million myself - but no professional... I will do it - maybe this spring! I'm OK with it. We got professional engagement/wedding/maternity photos done and i haven't done anything with any of them. (yeah, i still haven't done our wedding album 4+ years later)....

We got newborn photos done by our wedding photographer which I love. Unfortunately, we can't afford to do that all the time so we bought a Groupon for JC Penney photos. While most of the pics were cheesy, there were a couple of gems and it was probably the best $25 I ever spent!

We haven't done pro photos. Even our wedding photos were done by a family friend who hobbies with photography (they turned out pretty well). Sometimes I get sad about it, but I cannot justify the cost

My good friend is a photog so that is why we got so many pics! She did our engagement, wedding, maternity, and newborns!
