Just wondering if anyone might have some insight. My almost 3 year old seems to have some kind of need for oral sensory stimulation, especially when she's tired or worked up. She's constantly dragging things in her mouth to "check them out" and when she's frustrated or tired or mad, she will actively bite at things in her path- bath towel, my or hubby's shirt, whatever. Thankfully she has no issues with eating nor biting people, but this is a growing concern for me and one of the reasons I'm afraid to take her pacifier away. It seems to calm her down for bedtime and I'm afraid if we wean she'll replace it with her thumb because she need for that oral stimulation seems to be so strong. I asked her doc recently and got the same "just wait till she's 3" response I've been getting since she was a year old. Which maybe is legit but I'm not so sure. Thoughts? (All her teeth are in, btw, and this is constant, not situational, just seems worse when she's tired or upset)
