y'all... MY BOOBS! i'm just about 9 weeks and my boobs are insane. i'm starting to hate them. they hurt all day long, but especially early in the morning and late at night. i can't even hug people anymore because if they're touched, pain shoots through my entire body. and, if i get cold... forget about it. this pain has me super scared of breastfeeding.
did anyone else have this awful booby pain? if so, how'd you deal?

Yes! It will get better though I promise. Mine was super painful but went away at about 12 weeks

Uh yes, mine sucked. But it stopped around 11 weeks. I'm 20 weeks now and maybe once a week I'll notice tenderness but nothing like what I felt at the beginning. Wearing a supportive bra was what helped me the most. I just remember how painful it was at the end of the day to take my bra off. Ouch!

I found that a sports bra helped hold the girls in at night and wasn't too uncomfortable to sleep in.

It goes away eventually, mine stuck around until about 14 weeks, but one day it was like Christmas morning and the pain was all gone! Wearing sports bras helped me, I just couldn't do underwire!

Been there! But it went away and I've had pretty much zero breast pain or soreness ever since and I'm 20 weeks now (tomorrow)

@MaisyMay: not to thread jack but I tried to put on my sports bra this weekend and it got stuck...my boobs had grown too much. I had to get my OH to take it off me

Yeah.... it hurt. I think I bought new bras at 9 weeks and then 35 weeks. It was pretty bad. The pain was worst in first tri, but I occasionally still get shooting pain (brief).
BFing is hard, too, but my boobs don't hurt like they did when I was in the first tri. Now my nipples hurt but my boobs feel fine (except they tingle/hurt during milk letdown, but that is painful and cool at the same time)

Hang in there! It's totally normal for your boobs to hurt to the touch in your first trimester. I always saw it as a good sign that my pregnancies were progressing along well. I welcomed all the pain.

i had really bad boob pain in the beginning- once i got into the second tri it got MUCH better... i think around 13 weeks they felt normal again! just, bigger!

Mine were killer. I ended up sleeping in a nursing bra. I had to get new bras 3x before we miscarried at 20 wks because they grew so much and felt so sore at the beginning.

like PP's said, it gets better. I hat hella pain in the beginning, and that was more painful than the engorgement of my milk coming in!

mine hurt so bad the first tri too...probably since 14-16 weeks all i have worn are yoga bras from VS! I love them because they aren't as bulky or tight as a sports bra and super comfortable.

@chopsuey119: the thought of massaging them makes me cringe! it hurts when i barely even touch them.
thank you ladies for easing my fears/pain -- only about 5 weeks left of this (hopefully)! i can do it. i can do it.
i don't know if i can do the sports bra thing. my ladies are surprisingly unperky for my age, and i don't want to gross anyone out.

and I slept on my belly in first tri, so that actually helped.

i had it too! it was a strict "look, don't touch" policy in my house. i too wore sports bras at night (and i NEVER wear bras to bed) because in the morning i would wake up and they would hurt even more. that's gone away and i'm 12w.
